Bruce found himself at a lost for the first time in his career as Batman. He had a plan for everything. Every single possibility was something he had considered. He never planned for this. Booster was called in to the batcave to help with this issue but they had gotten no where. Terry even came down a few times to offer his assistance when he could. With Beyond missing, he had to step up and take over Y/N's patrols.
Bruce: Run me through the problem again.
Booster: Again? Bruce, we've been through this at least 1000...
Bruce: Run me through Booster.
Booster hesitated for a moment. He knew better than to question the Batman.
Booster: His timeline was erased. Because he only existed in that timeline, his existence was erased. He isn't bound by time anymore.
Bruce: And what does that entail?
Booster: It like a straight line. Suddenly, there is a second line so you erase the first line. They're exactly the same except for one minor difference. Y/N was that difference. He stayed while everything else was replaced.
Bruce: And this event didn't do anything to Debra because she existed in both timelines.
Booster: Right. I also stayed because, like Y/N, I'm not bound to one time. I guess you could say that Flash is the same.
Bruce returned his attention to the computer. Tracking Y/N seemed near impossible due to this issue. He was frustrated. Extremely frustrated. Suddenly he heard frantic footsteps in the cave. He turned and spotted Stephanie and Debra.
Debra: Bruce!
Bruce stood up. He had never seen them so worked up before.
Bruce: What's wrong?
Stephanie: It's Cassie. She said that she saw Y/N!
Bruce's eyes grew wide. They slowly narrowed as he began to plan.
Batman: Where?-------------Red woke up with a start. His entire body felt heavy while his head stung in pain. He couldn't sit up to gather himself since he was being held down by two pairs of arms. To his left was Terra while Jinx was to his right. Oh yeah. This was a thing.
He shuffled around a bit before he was able to free himself without waking the others. He carefully climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of jeans from the floor. Kid ended up not coming back to base last night which lead to them thinking of the worse case scenario.
Red ended up in the living room where Croc and Dex were. Croc didn't look too happy as he stared at the laptop they had stole about a week ago. He looked up when he heard Red enter.
Croc: They got the kid.
Red stopped in his tracks and shook his head. Damn it. Croc slid the laptop across the table for Red to see. Looks like while half the Titans were dealing with King, the rest had managed to take down Jack and Kid. If there was any highlight in all this, it was that they had gotten rid of two of the Royal Flush Gang. Three more to go.
Red: Shit. You know where they're taking him? Maybe we can plan some kind of breakout?
Croc shook his head.
Croc: Belle Reves. Trust me kid, not somewhere you want to go.
Red sighed as he slid the laptop back to Croc. He ploped down onto the couch earning an angry meow from Dex who was sleeping. Red began to pet him which calmed him down. Jinx wasn't going to be happy. He mentally beat himself up. They should've stayed together.
Croc: I know that look. Don't go blaming yourself.
Red: Hard not to. You know Jinx and Terra are going to be bummed. If we had planned better....
Croc: The Titans are smarter than you would think.
Red: Then I should've listened to Kid when he told us they were looking for us! No matter how you look at it, it's my fault.
Jinx: What's your fault?
The two turned towards the entrance where they found Jinx and Terra entering the room. Terra moved to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee while Jinx sat next to Red. The two males looked at each other before Red lowered his head.
Red: They got Kid.
Jinx: Who got Kid?
Croc: Those Titan brats.
The sound of a shattered mug caused everyone to turn towards the kitchen where Terra was. She was holding whatever was left of the mug.
Terra: Those bastards.
Jinx: What about King and Jack?
Red: They got them to.
He then looked down at his hands.
Red: It's all my fault. Sorry.
Jinx looked at him worried. She wanted to comfort him but she had never been in this kind of situation before. Her and Terra had talked about the fact that neither ever had a boyfriend like Red. He actually cared which made them want to care. The problem was, she didn't know how she was supposed to care.
She looked up to Croc who raised his brow. She signaled to Red and Corx understood. He placed his hand palm down and placed his other one on top. Jinx got the memo and placed her hand onto Red's.
Jinx: It's not your fault. We should be blaming the Titans. Not each other.
She looked to Croc who gave her a thumbs up. Red sighed and allowed himself to lay back into the couch.
Croc: I think we need a day off.
Terra's head popped up at the idea while Red also seemed pleased. That seemed to settle it.
Jinx: Alright. Everyone has today off.
Croc closed the laptop and quickly rushed out of the room while Dex watched. The cat laid back down and fell asleep.
Terra: Soooooo....maybe we can go on a date now?
Red finally smirked.
Red: I guess. What do you girls want to do?
Jinx's eyes shined brightly at the idea of a date.
Jinx: Lunch and a movie!
Terra: Oh. I haven't been to a movie theater in forever.
Red smiled before he realized a small issue.
Red: What about your appearance? Personally I think you're absolutely stunning but other people might notice you from a mile away.
Jinx blushed at the compliment before standing up and walking to the kitchen. She then opened a drawer and pulled out a piece of fabric. She then tied it into a bow in her hair. Red watched in amazement as her skin turned into an olive color giving her a normal appearance.
Red: Wow. You guys have a lot of stuff I'm still learning about.
Jinx stuck her tongue out at him before leaving to the bedroom they had been sharing to get dressed.
