Though they were able to fight back against the other races at the beginning thanks to the level of technology they were able to reach, such a level of technology could only last them for so long.

Aside from that, compared to the three other races on Veldanyr, whose species had unique qualities that allowed them to maintain their dominance one way or another, the humans of the new age only had their ingenuity and creativity going for them.

Of course, this allowed the humans to arrive at the level of technology that they were at.

However, if one were to compare their physical qualities to the other races, they were beaten tens to hundreds of times over.
