Believe It or Not, Your Family Will Go Bankrupt After This Fight

"The Restricted Section…" Ivan explained briefly.

Isiah nodded, but did not ask any more questions, thinking instead about how best to help him.

She had assumed that Ivan had asked her for advice on how to cast the spell because he did not know how to concentrate his emotions, but apparently that was not the case.

Ivan had a good grasp of the art of the art of the Call of the Lord, and all he lacked was a Patronus.

This was one of the more troublesome stages of practising the art of calling upon a Patronus. Some people might not be able to condense their Patronus even after months of practice.

However, there were ways to learn quickly, as long as one could create enough external stresses…

"I'll tell you what, I'll get someone to get you something to practice on the Puffs, but it'll take two or three days," Alicia said, her heart aching, as it meant she would have to pay another Galleon.

'Practicing how to call for divine protection?'

Could it be a Dementor?

Ivan speculated, but quickly dismissed it as unlikely. Getting a Dementor would not be easy.

Most of them worked as guards in Azkaban, and the rest travelled in packs to places of death and disease, making them difficult to deal with, let alone capture alive.

The most likely possibility is the Boggart, which transfigures into something that people fear most.

Ivan had a strange look on his face.

Isiah's fear of Dementors is why he is so eager to learn how to use the Call of God?

Ivan opened his mouth to question her, but Alicia seemed so secretive that she probably wouldn't tell him directly.

Whatever, Boggart it is…

Yvonne thought that if she practiced Occlumency, she might be able to fake a memory and make it look like a Dementor.

Ivan was not idle while waiting, and once he had his wand and could cast spells freely, he resumed his daily routine of magical practice.

In their spare time, they pestered Alicia about learning how to make magical objects.

During the previous battle, Isyria's combat prowess, coupled with her magical tools, had piqued Ivan's interest. If he could create dozens of magical tools to carry with him, wouldn't he be invincible?

However, he was mercilessly interrupted by Alicia.

If they did, the family would go bankrupt in a single battle…

"And you used magic props while you were practicing?" Ivan complained weakly. He had seen Alicia trying to fix the broken badge in her workshop after the match…

When he saw Alicia's pained expression, he estimated that the repair would cost a lot of Galleons…

Ivan opened his mouth to retort, but under Alicia's increasingly dangerous gaze, he wisely chose to keep quiet…

Alicia rummaged through the workshop and found several thick books, which she threw at him.

Compared to his little squabbles with the Weasley brothers at school, Alicia's teaching style was much more formal, starting with a few thick books for him to read…

Foundations of Basic Magical Materials, On the Conductivity of Metallic Magic, Magic Patterns: A Lesson You Don't Know…

"I ended up reading…" Ivan muttered to himself, looking at the pile of books on the table.

Ivan, however, was not averse to the idea, preferring to spend his time in the library at Hogwarts.

After throwing the book at Ivan, Alicia spent the rest of her time in the basement repairing the magical objects she had consumed, except for the occasional outing.

Ivan, on the other hand, was promoted to the position of acting owner of the Dark Arts shop, as well as a front-desk salesperson, who would deal with matters that he could not solve.

Two Galleons a week for his salary as pocket money…

So, aside from practising magic all day long, Ivan sat at the counter, reading and guarding his Dark Arts shop.

Ivan read two books in a row for several days, but no one came to visit.

Ivan was not surprised. It was not unusual to go ten days to half a month without a customer when it came to the sale of dark magic goods. One only had to close three or five deals a month to earn enough Galleons to survive.

Of course, it was only enough to survive. If business got that bad, they'd be in for a rough time.

Ringing …

The doorbell on the front door moved without the wind, and Ivan put down his book. This was a minor enchantment that Alicia had placed at the door, indicating that someone was about to enter…

"Welcome to the Wizarding Shop. How may I help you?" Yvonne asked politely.

"Evan Junior? I'm not here to buy anything."

Outside, an unfamiliar middle-aged wizard entered the room. He appeared to be in his early forties, with thin brown hair neatly combed back from his face. He wore a voluminous black and grey wizard's robe with one sleeve longer than the other, and seemed to have been sprayed with some sort of perfumed potion, although Ivan could still smell the alcohol beneath the scent.

Seeing him, memories came to Ivan's mind, and he finally had some understanding of the middle-aged wizard in front of him.

Dagget…

The former Head of St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries!

He was also the friend and ally of his mother, Alicia, in Knockturn Alley!

Nobody knew exactly what his last name was, as far as Ivan could remember.

However, Ivan could not understand how such a person could be reduced to living in Knockturn Alley.

"Where's your mother? Why are you here today?" Dougett looked around quickly when he entered the room. When he didn't see anyone, he turned to Ivan with a loving gaze and even reached out his right hand to stroke Ivan's head.

Yvonne ducked out of the way, and was shocked at how adept she was at it.

Searching her memory, Yvonne found that she had done this many times before and had a fifty-fifty chance of dodging it.

Doggett was not embarrassed at his failed attempt to pat Ivan's head and calmly withdrew his hand.

"My mother is in the basement, presumably repairing magical objects. What can I do for you?"

"Just checking on her, that's all," muttered Doggett as he made his way inside.

Ivan was dubious, but then he remembered his doubts and asked, "What do you mean?"

"By the way, do you know what kind of trouble my mother had with Professor Dumbledore?"

When Ivan mentioned Dumbledore, Dagget did not look happy, and hesitated for a moment before speaking.

"That's because ten—"
