Chapter 27 - Thor! The God of Lightning

~3rd POV~

~Location: Inside the Quinjet~

While Natasha speaks to Director Fury over comms, the trio hero's in the back of the Quinjet get acquainted with each other.

"I don't like it" Steve whispers to Tony and Spider-Man.

"What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Tony replies snarkily.

"I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop" Steve says.

"That's because it isn't" Spider-Man agrees.

"Still, you are pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?" Tony asks completely ignoring the concerns of his fellow avengers.

"What?" Steve asks completely confused.

"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a couple things, you know, during your time as a Capsicle" Tony quips.

"Jesus Christ Tony" Spider-Man whisper under his breath, only getting a smirk from the billionaire.

Steve looks directly at Tony, not all to pleased with how Tony is acting. "Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in"

"Yeah, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you" Tony replies quickly.

"That we can agree on" Spider-Man comments.

Before the trio of hero's could continue their conversation, a bolt of lightning almost strikes the Quinjet causing it to shake violently.

Spider-Man automatically, catches the arms of his fellow potential avengers making sure they don't fall. Tony after regaining his balance shrugs off Spider-Mans hand, while Steve gives him a nod of thanks.

"Where's this coming from?" Asked Natasha form the pilot seat.

The Thunder and Lightning continue to rumble overhead of the Quinjet, causing Loki to stare intently out the window Clearly looking for something or someone.

"What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve asks Loki.

"I'm not overly fond of what follows" Loki says nonchalantly.

"Don't worry, I'll be your thunder buddy" Spider-Man says looking out the window as his Spider sense starts to buzz ever so lightly.

Suddenly outside the a blinding light hits the jet, but this is no ordinary beam of light caused by the lightning. No this IS the cause of the Lightning. It is the Mighty Thor Odinson.

Thor using his mighty strength, forcefully opens the ramp of the Quinjet, grabs Loki by the throat and flies out. Leaving all those remaining in the Quinjet dumbstruck.

"Well that just happened" Spider-Man says being the first to recover, as Tony puts on his helmet.

"Now there's that guy" Iron Man says heading to the ramp.

"Another Asgardian?" Natasha asks.

"Definitely, that's Thor God of Lightning" Spider-Man explains quickly.

"Think he's a friendly?" Steve asks.

"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost" Iron Man says getting ready to follow.

"Guess we'll find out" Spider-Man says preparing to follow Iron Man as backup.

"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve's going into his Captain America mode.

"I have a plan, Attack" Iron Man says jumping out off the jet to follow Thor.

"Sorry Cap" Spider-Man shrugs jumping out of the jet aswell, activating his wing suit.

Captain America grabs a parachute to follow.

"I'd sit this one out, Cap" Natasha says.

"I don't see how I can" Captain America says finishing strapping up his parachute.

"These guys come from legends, they're basically gods" Natasha glances at Captain America.

"There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that" Captain America politely says before jumping out of the jet.

~With Thor & Iron Man~

Thor and Iron Man crash deep into the forest that surrounded the mountain. Thor quickly rolls back up onto his feet, While Iron Man is already standing with his helmet up.

"Do not touch me again!" Thor demands/ warns the man in front of him.

"Then don't take my stuff" snaps Iron Man.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with" Thor attempts to explain.

"Shakespeare in the park? Doth mother know you weareth her drapes?" Iron Man says in a Shakespearean accent.

"This is beyond you, metal man. Loki will face Asgardian justice!" Thor says completely serious compared to Iron Man joking attitude.

"He gives up the Cube, he's all yours. Until then, stay out of my way... tourist" Iron Man says.

Shutting his helmet, Iron Man begins to walk away. But in one swift move Thor pulls Mjölnir, throws it. Mjölnir smash's into Iron Man sending him clear across the clearing and into a tree.

Loki on the mountain watch's the duo duke it out in amusement. Thor meanwhile raises his hand, to which Mjölnir flies back into.

Thor swings his hammer, summoning a ray of energy. But Iron Man stands up and from his hand blasters shoots Thor with a blast of energy that knocks the God of Thunder down. Iron Man wasting no time flies at Thor and kicks him into a tree, while saying, "Right back at you bitch"

Thor while kneeling on the ground, pulls Mjölnir into his hand, raises it to the skies and pulls in the Lightning and Thunder! Thor then points the hammer at Iron Man, unleashing the bolts lighting with increasing intensity.

Iron Man gets send stumbling back, as the lightning bolts begin to damage his suit.

{Sir, Power at 400% capacity} Jarvis inputs politely.

"Well how about that" Iron Man mutters. Iron Man unleashes a powerful blast of energy from his repulsers, knocking Thor to his knees.

Then like two gunslingers ready to draw, both Thor and Iron Man fly towards each other and crash in the middle then begin their ascend up.

~Meanwhile~

~Spider-Man POV~

After exiting the Jet to follow after Iron Mans and his reckless attack. Thankfully I'd upgraded my suit before hand to have both a back parachute and a wing suit.

I easily keep track of Iron Man as he attacks Thor, Leaving Loki unguarded. 'Ugh amateurs' I internally complain.

Landing on the mountain side a few metres away from Loki who turns a s smirks at me.

"Ah the man of spiders?" Loki says/ questions with a smug smirk on his face.

"Indeed" I say, then without wasting time web his both hands together and then webbing his feet together as well.

"To you truly believe-" Loki begins before I shoot at his mouth effectively shutting him up.

"Stay" I tell him pointing down at the mountain, Loki only glares at me. "Good Doggy"

With Loki secured somewhat, I slingshot myself off the mountain side and towards the forest where Iron Man and Thor are fighting. 'Don't get yourself killed Tony'

~3rd POV~

Spider-Man using the trees to grapple and slingshot himself off of, easily makes it to where Iron Man and Thor are battling.

When they get in his field of view, Spider-Man sees Thor straight up headbutt Iron Man away. So he decides to make his move.

"Incoming!" Spider-Man yells grabbing the battling duo's attention, before double footing Thor in the chest sending him crushing into the trees behind him.

"Looks like you could use some help" Spider-Man says approaching Iron Man.

"I had it covered" Iron Man responds.

"Looks like it" Spider-Man says gesturing to Iron Mans damaged armour, just as his spider sense goes off.

Snapping his head around, Spider-Man sees a fast approaching hammer? Flying directly at him. He barely manages to duck in time to dodge the hammer.

"Coulda warned me" Spider-Man grumbles turning to face an angry looking Thor.

Pouncing quickly, Spider-Man swings a fist at Thor who tanks the blow with ease, Before landing a punch of his own on Spider-Mans stomach.

Before Thor could continue he's interrupted by a blast from Iron Mans repulsers. Causing Thor to stagger back which gives Spider-Man time to swing a fast and more powerful kick at Thor which lands sweetly on Thor's face.

Sending him tumbling to the ground, but he recovers almost immediately and calls Mjölnir back to his hand in time to swing it at Iron Man. Thors hit lands successfully on Iron Mans chest sending him crashing into a tree nearby.

Spider-Man immediately dubs the hammer a threat and webs Thor's hand to the ground. But unexpectedly Thor simply rips through the webbing and smash's Mjölnir into Spider-Man so fast Spider-Man didn't even have time to consider dodging.

"What's this dude made off" Spider-Man grumbles, getting up off the ground to see Iron Man use his repulsers to slide on the ground and trip Thor over.

Iron Man then flys into the sky and comes back from behind Thor to land a flying punch to Thor's face knocking him to the ground.

Spider-Man who saw Iron Man, predicted his movements and immediately went to assist by delivering a sliding kick to Thor's face that lands before Thor fully hits the ground.

All three combatants get off the ground a prepare for another confrontation, with Iron Man and Thor facing each other and Spider-Man in the middle.

As the trio of hero's gets ready pounce on each other they are interrupted by a shield ricocheting off Thor and Iron Man effectively stopping all three from fighting once again.
