Suddenly, the curtain behind her moved.

The maidservant guarding her closed her eyes and fell.

Min Ningwan looked straight ahead. She dipped the tip of her pen in ink and continued to copy scriptures.

"Grand Madam is really elegant."

An unfamiliar man's voice sounded, and a shadow enveloped Min Ningwan's head.

Min Ningwan said, "You blocked my light. I can't see clearly."

The unfamiliar man smiled faintly. "Grand Madam, are you copying so many scriptures to expiate the dead? Pavilion Master Lou and Madam Ru's spirits in heaven will probably be relieved."

Min Ningwan did not answer.
