Forgive me because I know it has been utterly a long time since I have written to you in this diary you gave me. 

That was partly because I had forgotten I existed and also because I had sunk into a deep hole that I found hard to retrieve myself from.

Your Castle is safe and just as you left it, my dear friend. I had done my best to not move anything in case you wouldn't be pleased with it. Even though you had consistently told me it belonged to me just as much as it did to you, I was never anything but a guest here.

I hope you are doing well up there with your wife. Knowing you, you must be helping others at the expense of your own health again and I know Lady Dandelia will scold you as always.

I have news I know might puzzle you but I expect no teasing from you yet.
