Mr. Wen and Old Master Zhou put away the chess pieces and got out of the carriage. They looked at the mountain full of spring flowers and persimmon trees not far away and said to Old Master Zhou with a smile, "It's better to come out for a walk!"
Old Master Zhou cleared his throat. "I'm used to living on the farm now. It's not comfortable for me to go back. I hired two parentless children in the village to help me work and sell flowers. I even taught them how to read when I was free. The two children know how to be grateful. They come early every day and help clean up the courtyard. They even planted some melons and vegetables in the open space."
Mr. Wen looked at him and teased, "Oh! I didn't expect you to do these pitying things!"
Old Master Zhou looked at Mr. Wen aggrievedly. "Look at what you're saying. Although I was unreasonable in the past, I've never bullied anyone!"
