The Betrayer, The Betrayed

The place was black for a moment, but then my eyes managed to catch the light as it opened, which I was immediately open to an unwelcoming greet of white smoke.

"Brie!" I shouted, instantly in concern as I tried to look back, but a series of pieces and a seat that slanted to the side made it quite challenging to see her. I glanced down, noticed the seatbelt, and immediately disengaged it.

I shuffled from my seat, which then I landed on the ceiling that was quite the imposter of the floor, which was covered in shattered glass and pieces. Then, my eyes locked onto the sight of Brie slumped on the ground, which suddenly erupted a new energy within me.

"Brie!" I shouted, my voice hoarse from the fear that coiled my throat. I crawled over, looked down at her, which she was breathing, but not very conscious. I looked down at her chest—which immediately I regretted forgetting how to do CPR.
