Chapter 3 Choosing a will

What followed after was self-explanatory, The police were surprised by the revelation, and as the mother and son were in the middle of the reunion, the media came in

The News that the mute kid that jumped into the river and disappeared was finally back, and the fact that he had miraculously healed somehow was an even bigger scoop,

The media covered the story and Darwin, who wasn't so well versed with such amounts of attention, felt a bit shy as they made their way towards their car while his mother answered some questions, even asking him to speak some words to show that he was somehow able to speak

They left for their home leaving behind the crowd of media, though what really surprised him was the response from the reporters,

It took them a while to reach their home, it was a typical American house, cozy and beautiful enough, just like his previous home

The brief visage of his forgotten family put him in a sad mood , though Darwin wasn't a quitter, he couldn't even remember them clearly

'Let's make the best of what I have for now, hope I get a separate room, do I have siblings,I hope there isn't drama between us'

Darwin thought as he followed his mother and entered his home.

"Honey! do you want anything, You look so thin and pale, what happened , where did you run off to, did you really just jump of the bridge" The mother asked

Darwin had no idea what to say, he didn't remember a thing,

'Dont tell me this is going to be a daily occurrence, come on,at least let me remember something,I don't wanna end up in a hospital' Darwin tried to come with something when a small memory surfaced in his mind

A very chilling memory

The scene in the memory caused him to freeze up for a moment, his mother took this as a sign of him being terrified,which wasn't a lie.

She hugged Darwin and started patting his back,soon enough, Darwin fell asleep, he was already feeling sleepy, his body felt like it hadn't eaten for days, which might possibly be true

The next day ,Darwin woke up,feeling refreshed ,unlike before when he felt like even talking was dying,Though along with that also cane some unfamiliar set of memories,

They were the memories of the owner of the body, this body was also called Darwin, much like him, they were very similar to each other

 .

'Man I look nice,Damn' Said Darwin as he flexed his none existent muscles.after satisfying his ego, Darwin finally came out of the washroom and sat down on the bed,

He was not going to school anytime soon as they had just gone through a tragedy,

"Good for me though,I can try and unlock a will for myself"

The system panel opened up in front of him, after looking at the vague names, Darwin knew that his only choice was for him to become the failed knight

"I have a guess on who it is" said Darwin as he accepted the Mission.

Darwin looked through his stuff , or the stuffy that belonged to the previous Owner and found a replica katana, though it was dull,but was the same as a normal one

"Let's do this"

*Ten minutes later*

"Hufff...Hufff this is hard,I wonder how long it will take me to activate the template" thought Darwin as he fell to the floor covered in sweat.

"System show me the progress"

'Just five,I need to do this Ten million time to acquire the will, this better be worth it, maybe I should join some dojo or shit'/Darwin got up and entered the shower, he scrubbed his body until he was satisfied and then went downstairs, his mother was sitting at the table in a formal dress, she was a working women,

"Oh! baby, you are awake,I thought you might want to sleep in , you were feeling so down yesterday" she said

Darwin awkwardly sat at the table and are his food while he greeted his mom

Halfway through the breakfast, they talked about what they would be doing for the day, Apparantly his mother had arranged for a babysitter, though Darwin would rather stay alone.

"Bye mom" Darwin sent her off,

He didn't have any reasons to decline the babysitter, he would cross the bridge once it came to it.

"Wow, an Xbox, lemme play some games, then we will practice with the sword again" Darwin said to nobody but himself as he started up the game and was about to play when he hears something that sent chills down his spine, Also refreshing the previous hosts memories

On the Tv, a set of headlines was slowly moving forward,one of them read as follows

"City still recovering from the Giant Wormhole in the sky that ripped the city to shreds"

This news headline totally ruined his mood, he out down the consoles and decided to search up some things,

'I will play around once I am certain I can deal with what comes at me' With that thought, Darwin started searching up everything, with in reason

He didn't want people to be spooked by him, lest he ends up in an interrogation room the next time he wakes up

Darwin also searched up any martial arts dojo and institute he could, having a strong body and disciplined mind will help him in the long run

After some time, Darwin came to the conclusion that he really was in the arrow verse, or at least an AU version of it,
