Glimpse of the past

What am I doing here?

The underworld. Am I dead?

Did i really die? No one could answer my question, I was scared, the creature kept coming close to me, then I felt a sudden chill and I heard the cold voice, dominating every soul.

"Scare her no more boy"

I couldn't see him, I tried to find him but he seems to be invisible, I couldn't stop myself from crying, I felt the cold hands on my neck I jumped in fear, this is the worst nightmare I have had in ages. I tried to run but I kept falling into a deep pit of darkness, I want to wake up from this night mate but the more I try, the more i kept failing

"You can't escape me mortal"

"Please let me go"

I could hear Tyler's voice from afar and I could see the light in the direction he was calling me to, I was running towards the direction, I felt a sharp pinch on my neck, at that moment it was as if my heart has frozen, I could no longer hear his voice neither the light, he is the only hope I have and yet I lost it. 

It was obvious I couldn't win, I lay down on mould, waiting for Cerberus to eat my soul, I wish I could have the chance to tell Tyler I love him once more and to bid my friends goodbye.

Opening her eyes, she saw Tyler's worried expression and tears on his cheek, she smiled as she wipe his tears away

"Wife" hugged her in excitement 

"What happen? Why are you crying?"

"It's all my fault, I shouldn't have cast those spell on you, I thought you were dead"

"Dead? Hell no!"

She had no idea what he is talking about, all she could remember was she fell asleep while waiting for him, her gaze rest on Nick and Kellen, they also had a worried expression.

"Why are all of you acting strange, I only fall asleep"

"We thought you were dying"

"No" rubbing her neck 

Tyler tighten his arms around her, resting his head on her shoulder, he was happy she is back to him, she wonder why he is acting so emotional.

"Where is Ariana?"

"Uh....she insist on following flora to get your medicine, she is probably in her room now"

"Oh..thank you so much Nick and Kellen"

"Don't ever fall sick, ever" she warned

Nick didn't say a word, he only bow and left, kellen stare at  Tyler's hands around leah's waist, she is sure of one thing, that this devil is madly in love with his prey.

"I will be taking my leave" 

"Thanks kel" 

Ariana stare at the crystal ball she stole from the fairies, according to flora one could see the  past with it, she had to find out everything about her past. 

She hurried to Leah's chamber when she heard from kellen that she is awake, she smiled when she saw leah wrapped in Tyler's arm like she was a baby

"Am glad you are fine"

"Thank you so much Ariana, I heard you bought my medicine"

"Ofcourse "

Ariana sneaked into the throne room, she is happy that Tyler was away from home, she placed her hands on the crystal, it shines brightly, smiling in satisfaction and proud of her accomplishment, she step inside.

Guess am meant for crystals!

she was surprised when she saw so many servant, she smiled knowing the fairy didn't lie indeed she is in the past. She was glad she followed her the other day, that's why she is able to get the crystal of the past, She saw a familiar face but couldn't remember who she was until the maid stopped by in a garden.

She gasped in shock, standing before her and surrounded by maids was a princess who look exactly like her, she was hiding something behind her.

Am a princess!

"Keira, do you think he will like it?" Smiling brightly 

"Yes princess, oh....princess he is coming" in excitement 

I wonder who was coming until I saw him

Tyler!

What the hell is he doing here in my past, but he look different, he look more lively and very different. He doesn't have those dark aura surrounding him here, he look very boyish and in love

"Hey brother" ran towards him and encircle her arms around his neck

"I can't breathe Anne, let go off me" playfully

Anne!

He knew.....he is my brother?

Tyler?

It was as if I got struck by a lightening, all the memories are coming back, i held my head in pain. I have to endure this headache if not I won't be able to find out the rest.

"Anne, are you sure you want this?" Worriedly 

"Ofcourse, he is nice and caring, I will marry him" smiled brightly 

"But what about your heart Anne?'

"It doesn't matter ,Tyler what matters is that the two kingdom are unifying"

How can I be so stupid not to notice that I was being fooled by Darius. How can I be so stupid not to listen to Tyler, why am I a fool?

There was another memory, it was with my maid keira, she was warning me about king Darius but I didn't believed her

"Princess, He is a bad man" she insist

"Keira, I won't take it easy on you the next time you call my fiancee a bad man" threatened in anger

"Pr...."

"Shut up!" Angrily

Keira stare at her with so much pity but couldn't say a word, she only want the best for her because she has a golden heart and loved by all, she will make sure, she find a way to unveil the truth about King Darius.

He doesn't deserve the princess, she thought.

Ariana could see the past where she found out Darius intentions towards her, he was obviously making out with one of her maids when his friend approached him, she clench her fist in anger while gritting her teeth

"You shouldn't do this here Darius, what if you get caught by the princesss" worriedly 

"She is too dumb to find out, a lady who is busy with her useless painting is no good  gabriel, trust me she might be beautiful but she is worthless" spat in disgust

"How can you say that about your fiance"

"You know why am here, dont fall for her kindness gabriel, Am going to make Airangon mine, I will rule this kingdom, can't you see how rich and blessed the land is" greedily 

Ariana couldn't bear it anymore, she ran away, she can't listen to what he has to say again  it was obvious he wanted to use her to gain powers. His words kept ringing in her ears, she covered her ears as she screamed in agony.

"Darius..."

"I will poisoned the king and prince, and then become the king of Airangon and guess who is going to take the fall?" Smiling with pleasure

"The queen?"

He smirk at his naive friend who had no idea about his plan towards him. He will make sure Gabriel took the fall, who wouldn't believe him? He will make sure he frame him. He smiled at his evil thought, for his dearest friend is also naive.

"I will make sure I kill them all, I will have all the treasures, wealth and everything" laughing evily

"Darius, you have your own kingdom to rule" pleading 

"But it is not as blessed as Airangon "

Fool, just wait and see, I will make you take the fall, then you will be pleading for life not the throne.

"You can start up a trade Darius, Ariana loves you please"

"She is worthless and I won't have you lecture me about what to do, I know you have fallen for her but trust me, I will crush her and rule this kingdom" 

Damn you Darius, you suck!

I wanted to kick him real hard between his thigh but It was all in vain, it was as if I was kicking a void. I wish I had waited for sometime I would have heard about his evil plot 

Why is he so heartless?

She watch Tyler consoling her, she could see the love he have for her, he hasn't change, he held her in his arms, she kept crying until she couldn't, he was there by her side until she fell asleep

He has always being like this towards her, how come she had no idea that what ever affection he has for her is that of a brother to his sister, she kept weeping while watching her past. 

She had such a wonderful brother yet she couldn't remember him the moment she met him, he doesn't have supernatural powers in the past, how on earth did he become like that. Was he bitten by a vampire? He definitely isn't a vampire, she wonder what he is now.

She stood there watching him, he was restless because of her, he barely sleep, he wanted to see his sister happy, Tyler am sorry for misunderstanding your feelings towards me.

"What is wrong Anne?"

"What can I do? I don't want to marry Darius" crying

"What's wrong?"

"I don't love him"

"Tell me what the problem is, what did he do?"

"Tyler...he is playing around with my maids, he is a jerk"

"Am going to teach him a lesson, No one messes with my sister and go scout free" 

He clench his fist, he was heading out when she grab his arms, pleading with him, she dont him to fight Darius

"Please don't, I know he deserve many punches"

"Then allow me to punch his jaw Anne, he shouldn't mess with my sister"

"No, don't do anything"

"Anne"

"Please"

She couldn't tell him, telling him will be a problem, she wanted to end things amicably so Darius plan about gaining powers through her  will be ruin and he will have no choice than to leave. She was glad her parents support her in everything, they were sitting on the same throne she saw the other day, she understand why he was crying the other day. They had a lovely parent who would go an extra miles just to see their children happy

"Am sorry mom and dad for not remembering you" weeping 

She cried out when she saw her mother making her hair and advising her about her decision, it was obvious she want her daughter to marry for love.

She was in the study when Darius approached her, he looked pissed, he look as if he is ready to punch her but she wasn't scared, he grab her hands and held it so gently that she thought she must have misunderstood what she saw and heard, she got pissed as she slam the book she is reading on the desk

"My queen" surprised 

"Am not your queen, am princess Ariana not your queen" push his hands away

"What's wrong? Did I offend you?"

"No you didn't"

"How can you call off our engagement " angrily 

"I find your looks less appealing"

"What?"

"I won't, let you have your way Darius" smirk

"What are you talking about?" Confused 

"I want to marry  a man who loves me"

"Ofcourse  am that man, I love you my queen"

Darius! That evil man

She watch as he roughly grab her, he forcefully kiss her as he grab her waist, she was trying to push him away but he wouldn't let her, she bite him, he jerk away, he rub his lips, he got furious when he saw the blood on his hand.

"How dare you?" Angrily 

He was coming towards her, she kept screaming for the guards to come but no one came, she knew he is responsible, she had to run away from him or else he might took advantage of her then she will be left with no choice than to marry him

"How dare you? 

"Stay away from me!" Yell

"No one will hear you my queen, I will make sure I pour my seed inside you "

He roughly grab her waist, she hit him on his side with her elbow, he laughed at her in a mocking tone

"You my queen is a weakling"

"The weakling you need to gain power" laughed, he was shocked, he let go of her. She was pleased with his shocked reaction 

"My queen there must be a misunderstanding"

"Cut the act Darius"  angrily 

"Then you don't have to blame me for my decision now, I will make you mine whether you like it or not"

He smiled at her, she knew what will happen next; he was ready to grab her waist again when Gabriel show up and stopped him

"That's enough Darius" pissed

He didn't expect his friend to go this far, he heard from his guard that Darius went after Ariana at the study while sending every servant and guards away from there.

He knew Darius is up to no good that's why he showed up
