The twins nodded vigorously and left immediately to begin their work.
While the twins shoveled in the backyard, Raimon ate the Heart of Dragon soup at the table.
"Is it that tasty, Young Master?"
Reineza asked as she watched Raimon happily slurp the food. She thought Raimon was happy about the delicious soup.
"Yes, it's very tasty!"
"There's more than enough to last you three days, so feel free to ask if you want another serving."
With each spoonful that went down his throat, Raimon could feel his bones and skin getting stronger. If he ate the soup for three days, his affinity and resistance to ice would increase substantially.
However, Raimon was not smiling from ear to ear because of the Dragon Heart.
In a few days, I will have access to the secret tomes....
The place where the twins were digging, was behind the cat grave.
Despite being only 4 years old, the twins' physical abilities were far above the world's average, as they were of the Flower bloodline
The Flower had special bodies as if they had been blessed by the heavens.
So, if the twins continued to dig until nightfall using their blessed bodies, the hole would reach the "subway wall".
"However, they won't be able to tell if it is a wall or just a hard rock".
Underneath the Blood Castle was a secret subway area where some of the Flower Clan's evil deeds were hidden.
The secret tomes of other families.
The Flowers had subdued and destroyed other families throughout their history. During these wars, they would steal the books, scrolls, and secret records of their enemies.
Needless to say, Raimon could not easily infiltrate the subway area just because the twins dug into the wall. He would first have to deal with the two protective installations that repel outsiders.
Raimon already knew how to deactivate them. In one of his mental tests when he finished the ritual of awakening one of the spirits that tested him, he was given as a reward the keys to enter the family library.
In his previous life, he was always very curious about learning as much as possible, taking his taste for learning to the maximum.
He had picked up the habit of learning everything related to the places he found himself.
"I will study those books until the day I leave the Castle of Blood."
Raimon had emptied two bowls of soup for dinner.
"Nana Reineza."
"Yes, Young Master?"
"Could you share some of the Dragonheart soup with the twins when night falls?"
"Ah, how much should I give them?"
"Two spoonfuls each."
"Two... spoonful? Why bother sharing some with them in that case? You should eat it all by yourself."
"I must keep my promise. If they complain and ask for more, tell them I said this: 'I will show them how kind and gentle Alexa is in comparison to me'."
Reineza smiled awkwardly as she bowed to him.
"Young master Raimon... Has the cruelty of the clan already begun to affect him? He's still too young to act like this."
As his wry smile turned into a bitter expression, Raimon snuggled into Reineza's embrace.
"The older gentleman Ocean gave me his heart for my sake, and Reineza carefully prepared the soup for a whole month with dozens of sleepless nights. I don't want to share such a precious meal with those idiots."
"Young master..."
Shcrrt, shcrrt.
Despite being soaked by the rain, the twins continued to dig.
They reached the subway wall around midnight, which was when they finally stopped digging.
"Two scoops?!"
"Only two scoops? That's unfair! We've been digging dirt all day."
The twins belatedly realized that they had not decided on a proper "amount" during their agreement with Raimon, and were infuriated by their supposed "reward."
However, they could not express their frustrations for too long, as Raimon glared at them, as if telling them to savor the spoonful with gratitude.
"Brats... If one could earn two scoops of Dragonheart soup with a day's shoveling, most people in the world would come running to see me."
Raimon truly believed that the twins should be very grateful to receive a spoonful of soup from him.
The next morning, Raimon went to the hole the twins had dug.
Apparently, the twins had not resorted to petty tricks. They had dug the hole quite seriously. Inside the deep hole, Raimon could see a golden stone wall on the side of the bottom.
Currently, there were seven knight guards, two nursemaids and a dozen servants in the castle. Of course, the twins were here too.
No one would come looking for Raimon or suspect he was up to anything.
"Telling them I wanted to come here to pray for the dead cat was a pretty good excuse."
Lately, the family members residing at Castle Blood were wary of Raimon. The Duke's eldest son did not behave like a small child, and was disturbingly mature.
In fact, some were more than wary. Many feared the six-year-old. The servants gossiped about him, saying he was a perfect copy of his cold father, and the guardian knights obeyed him as if he were their superior.
But when Raimon said he would go and pray for the cat, everyone was relieved. They thought that, despite being the son of Raion and grandson of Taranis two of the most terrifying people in the Empire, a child is still a child.
"I pray that he finds happiness in his next life."
Raimon had not lied when he said he would pray for the cat. He really felt sorry for him.
Once he finished moving the cat's grave to the bottom of the deep hole the twins had dug, Raimon approached the stone wall on the side. There were scratches made by the shovels on its surface.
The wall itself was not very solid. There were no metal bars or wires inside it to increase its durability, so Raimon could easily destroy it with a punch engulfed in solar flames.
However, breaking it like this would undoubtedly create a loud explosion.
The constant rain outside would muffle the sound a bit, but the 7-star knights and warriors in the castle would surely pick up the noise.
"Hahaha."
Raimon suddenly laughed unable to contain himself. He stretched out his arms and rested his hands on the wall. Immediately, the stone wall began to vibrate slightly.
Wroooom!
It was the 1-star natural earth spell, "Earth Resonance".
Earth Resonance was a spell that natural people often used when camping outdoors or exploring nature, but its lethality was nil.
"I can't wait to use this new force!"
The practicality and pleasure of using power I never imagined!
