Chapter Twelve - Unleashed

Gaila, Globus and Granger were waiting for the next commands from us. The Elder looked at the Cazanettian skies as if she was seeing things again.

"It is coming." the Elder said.

"What is it?" asked Globus.

"Is it your vision of the first rain?" asked the smith – who sat at the back of the Elder and holding Globus' mane. "Is it something we should afraid of? Are we going to die?" he added. The smith's red eyes shined as he glared at the skies.

"We won't die. I can't see the new world but we will fly through a sea of water."

"Fly through water?! How could we do that? We can't breathe in water. Even our hybrids are all aerial species!" said the male purebreed that was carried by an owl man.

"By the nymph's power." said Granger. "We can ask help from her about our concern in water. We could even ask her to stop the rain."

"The nymph? Haha! Isn't her existence just a legend to make the eldest person's fame?" said one of the purebreed merchant that was riding a big winged cat.

"I believe more in the shrine and the purebreed from that gathering whom they said was contradicted to the three heroes." said another purebreed.

"The middle classmen wouldn't know about the nymph. But the nymph reached out to the citizens that time. We just need to ask her." said Alnah. Everyone was silently listening.

"Elder, can you ask the nymph and link it to us?" asked Allythycne.

"But if we need to connect to the Elder, we should at least touch her." said one harpy.

"At least, every purebreed or human who mounts on a hybrid may touch each other's hands, the hybrids can still connect. How about winged hybrids who carry non-winged hybrids?" said Chaeldra.

"If they let the others touch them with feet." Said Arthemia

So they formed a branched formation while the Elder closed her eyes and called the nymph. "Beautiful water deity that envelops Cazanette with beautiful glistening waters, hear upon our wishes."

"You don't need to call me like that, Mir. I can see the wishes around you. They wish that the prophecy will not happen." said Theta. Everyone can hear her voice while their eyes are closed.

Theta went out of the water for the very first time. The water was like a fountain that pushed her upwards in front of Globus. She touched the Elder's face with her cold water hands. She whispered, "Mir, I cannot stop the rain and the sea in your vision. But I can protect you by letting you breath in the water." "I understand." The Elder said with her eyes still closed. "Mir, open your eyes. This might be the last time that I'll see you." Theta whispered.

The Elder slowly opened her eyes and saw the nymph. "The last time?" the Elder asked. "Mir, I gave you a temporary immortality. I want to give you the crystal of youth so that you'll remember the real you and keep your promise before Cazanette…"

"The real me?"

"Yes. The real you…" said Theta. She touched the Elder's forehead with her liquid forehead. Theta and the Elder closed their eyes. A tear fall from Theta's eyes and fell into the Elder's lips. Theta touched the Elder's face.

"After you wake up from your deep slumber, you will regain all your memories. Before, during and after you went to this world." The nymph's liquid body then fall into the water… gone.

"Theta… I will see you again. I am sure of that."

"The nymph is true. I should have opened my eyes." said the middle class purebreed.

"So, the nymph is true and she will protect us from the Elder's first rain prophecy. When will the first rain st-" said another purebreed as Cazanette was shaken by a quake.

The Cazanettians were shocked by the quake and they let go of the formation that connects to the Elder. The quake made the Cazanettian sky crack. The sky was like tiles of plasma screen. As the quake continues, the light that emanates through the prism sky was eventually gone.

"It's getting dark!" said one of the purebreeds.

"Don't be afraid! Trust your partners and don't let go!" said Alnah

"They should have got in touch with us by now." Said Gaila

"As long as the Elder is here, we know what to do next." Said Globus

"Go away from me or she'll find you!" said Master Ren. "Look for the exit now and go home as you wish!" he added. He seemed to be in pain. He cannot stand up. It looked like they broke his legs. "Go away now! Find the exit!" as he said that, the power in the hallway was fluctuating.

Reevahn saw something was approaching us. "Are those… live wires?". We looked and we saw moving electrical wires with electric sparks at its ends. They looked like moving rattle snake as they approach us.

"Go now! You'll be electrocuted!" said Master Ren

"We can't leave you alone!" said Brix

"I'm already a clone of somebody! My life is not as important as yours! Run!"

As the electric cables approached us, we saw a figure of a female. Her feet are floating from the ground. The cables that connect to her head and spine are used as her extremities.

"So you did destroy my world. And you, my beloved child betrayed me. So you showed them the switch… I believe you are already programmed to serve me…" said Lax

"I want to protect them from you!" said Master Ren

"Ah… Ha… ha… HAHAHAHA!!!" Lax laughed loudly. "Oh… so you got a heart for this… I was mistaken to use the parts of your hypothalamus to my child… so you still remember, previous king?"

"Previous king? So, a part of you is Arthemia's husband? That is the reason why you trained us and acknowledge the dowager because a part of you is her late husband?!" I was surprised.

"So you know how a traitor he is! Now, come here my new children. I'll just need you bodies and power to recreate my world…"

"No!" said Reevahn. "Who would want to be reborn without the memories of their childhood?! No one!"

Lax hit him with one of her electric cables. Reevahn was slightly electrocuted.

"That was only a few volts… Oh…" she chuckled. "You are wearing blue… does it mean that you are really weak to electricity? Hahahaha!!!"

As she tried to hit Reevahn again, Brix shielded him with his sword and cut one of her cables. "Don't you ever hurt my friends!!!" he slashed few cables again. As he almost reaches the body of Lax, another quake shocked Cazanette. As the shake continues, we saw some more cables moved and gathered around her then connected to the cut portions. She was charging. As she charges, some wires from the walls moved and approached us.

Reevahn's shock was already gone and he can talk again. "I can't feel my heart." I suddenly laid him down and when I noticed that he doesn't have a pulse, I gave him thirty pumps. "Brix! Give him air!" Brix went back to us and gave Reevahn air with the use of his power through his hands. Reevahn gently closed his eyes.

Tears gently fell down from our eyes as we said, "Don't give up on us, Reevahn! Live Reevahn!" as we continued to pump and give air to Reevahn.

"Another quake?!" said Chaeldra

"Look!!! It's… water… there is water in my face!"

Because of the quake, the pieces of the sky suddenly fell down one by one from the North, East, West and South, leaving the central curve a little bit intact.

"It's too dark! I can't see"

"I can hear something fall into water! It's a very big object." said the hybrid with big ears.

"Granger… Granger…" someone called to Granger's mind.

"Reevahn? Is that you?! Where are you?!"

"I… am almost dead. They are trying to revive me…"

"Where are you?!"

"We found out that your world is an artificial one. It is underground. Though you have the first rain prophecy, you may be underwater somewhere…"

"Reevahn, answer me! Where are you?!"

"If you happen to be in water, just go further upwards until you see the light. I am seeing a light now too…"

"Reevahn! Reevahn!!" shouted Granger.

"What happened?!" asked Chaeldra

"Reevahn… Reevahn is on the verge of dying!"

"No way! Where is he?" asked Globus

"I don't know either."

Gaila and Globus tried to contact Nina and Brix but instead of hearing their voices, they saw what is happening.

"The three were fighting all their might! We need to be brave to push upward! We wouldn't want to be buried in this fake world! Yes?!" cried Gaila

"Yes!!" the Cazanettians answered in unison.

The rain of water and falling debris were getting heavier and heavier as they approach the central arch.

"Here it is. Be prepared." Said Alnah

I threw my bag to Master Ren. "Take Reevahn's phone and activate GPS! Then press help!" I commanded

"What?! I don't understand anything you said!"

"First, take out the phone without a keypad! It is a black mirror-like rectangle! I'll tell you what to do." said Brix.

"But I can't"

"Only you can do it this time."

Master Ren listened to Brix on how to operate Reevahn's phone and turned on the GPS. There was a signal so I think it would worked. I was thinking that, whatever happens to us, everyone in the world would know how a simple jealousy of a girl to a scientific project would lead to getting people from the past to be experimented… not just humans but also innocent animals to test for her personal revenge in achievements. The world should know that someone made a new world just to have an access to the spring of youth. There were lots of violations in God's creation. Once we are done here, dead or alive, the world should know that there are species, who were supposed to be free to gain knowledge and free to live to their extent; species who are restrained in a world where everything is limited. Those who experienced childhood don't experience adulthood and those who don't have childhood were just re-cloned. We weren't the only outsiders here who were summoned by the nymph to protect. We weren't called by the nymph if there is no person who took something from the people. We had lives before that were supposed to be enjoyed by normal students like me, Brix and Reevahn.

Reevahn opened his eyes. Brix checked his pules. There was a weak pulse. Reevahn was revived! Reevahn patted Brix's crying face, "Thanks, pal. You just gave me another life. I owe it to you."

Brix cried again and embraced Reevahn. They are both boys so fujoshis would love to see this yaoi moment but… no. They are best friends. They are already close even before I met them.

"I need to fight too." said Reevahn. He was trying to stand up.

"No, you need to rest a little more."

"Nina is doing her best."

"You know that both of us can't hurt a girl, Reevahn."

"Then, let's just help her in our own way. You know what I mean."

Master Ren finally turned on the GPS and help button. He smiled at the camaraderie that the boys shown in front of him.

While I continue to cut every cable – like how prince Philip cut the thorns to awaken Aurora, and harden my skin in every counter attack just to reach the main body, Reevahn asked Master Ren for other passages that will lead to the main electricity source. "We need to turn down the power first to help Nina." They lifted Master Ren and went to the place where the sun switch was. The sun switch wasn't there anymore. The wall became a passageway with stairs leading upwards. "I know it was around here, but I didn't know that it's this wall." said Master Ren.

They went upstairs. The stairs were behind the wall of a room. It was a room with lots of switched. They turned off every switch in their way. The path was about a hundred meters long. Before they switched off the last one, a man suddenly appeared from the narrow stairs that leads to another floor.

"What the heck is happening?!" He saw the three. "Where did you come from?"

"Where is the main switch?!" asked Brix

"What?! What main switch?!"

Master Ren pointed a small passageway under the stairs. "We can go there. It could lead to the main switch." The small passageway looked like a wall pattern which could be unnoticeable to the people above Cazanette.

"Hey! Hey! What are you doing?! This is our territory! You should not trespass anywhere here without the dam's permission!"

Brix turned and said, "Dam? What do you mean dam?"

"This is the dam that supplies water and energy for the whole damn island!"

"I see…" said Reevahn. "Go now!"

"Hey, wait!" said the man. Reevahn hastily summoned his sword and pointed it to the man's neck. The man raised his hand as a gesture of surrender. "Mind your own business." said Reevahn.

The man was petrified until Reevahn closed the passageway's hidden door. He got no idea that there was a separate world below them. He went above to tell his mates about the men who were looking for the main switch, but when they went down to check, they didn't see where the passages were.

Reevahn crawled in the narrow air duct like passage to reach the control room of Lax's laboratory. Brix was pulling Master Ren by fireman's drag method.

"Hey, Reevahn! Would you mind calling back your sword? It's scary you know!" Brix said to Reevahn – whose eyes were sharpily looking for the control room. He wanted to finish the mission as soon as possible for them to help the others out.

"Brix, do you remember the control room? You can see the outside world if you open the door behind Lax's chair. The air was different than Cazanette's" said Reevahn.

"Yeah. What about it?"

"Since you are stronger than me physically, go out there as soon as possible and bring Master Ren to a safe place."

"No! Don't worry about me. You can leave me here." Master Ren said.

"No. I will bring you outside."

They reached the control room and got out of the narrow passage. The end of the passage was a hole in the wall. Everyone in the control room were surprised. Some of them took out their guns and pointed to them.

"Guns, huh? Didn't you watch attentively what we can do inside Cazanette? You know that we were elementally gifted, don't you?" Reevahn said. As the people in the control room pulled the trigger, Reevahn summoned a large wave after Brix put an aerial barrier around them to protect them from electrocution. The ammos were slowed down and were gently lose its power because of the water pressure from the wave. Although no one was electrocuted, everyone tried to hold their breaths until they lost consciousness. When everyone was unconscious, Brix and Reevahn summoned back the air and water.

"Brix, go out now. Take Master Ren to a safe place and make an opening in the dam so that the Cazanettians won't drown."

"How can I do that?! I can't control water."

"Faith. And I will turn off the main switch to stop Lax. Go now!"

Brix was hesitating because he can sense that Reevahn's plan may be dangerous. "Let's see each other outside." Brix opened the door and ran outside, carrying Master Ren on his back. As the door closed, Reevahn whispered. "Farewell, my best friend…"

By following the cables, Reevahn found where the main switch was located. It was hidden inside Lax's chair.

"I know that this is very high voltage… but, it is the only way. Only Brix can save Master Ren faster than my weakened body." Reevahn whispered to himself.

He took out his water based sword and destroyed the main switch. He tried to endure the electricity that flowed in his body until the switch turned off. Everything blacked out, including him…

"What is happening?!" said Lax

"So, they made it. The main switch is broken and you don't have power to defeat me now."

"Huh?! I still have spare power."

"Then, I'll defeat you until your last breathe… ow, whatever it is that makes you live."

She laughed aloud and said, "How can you do that?! I know that you cannot see anything in the dark!!!"

How did she know that?! She might have been following us since we arrived! But… however, her cables move noisily. Even if I can't see, I could hear them.

"That was funny, I was kind of stupid. I didn't realize that I could use fire to light up my surroundings… but her spare power might be gasoline based – I am not sure. I must be careful." I thought. So, I planned to use my ears than my fire. I slashed everything around me and I believed I hit them. I couldn't hear that they were regenerating so I continued to slash randomly.

"Oh, please at least a little… I need to see a little just to make sure how much cables she has now." I thought to myself while hitting randomly.

One more hit and suddenly, I heard her fall. Maybe, I hit the last cable and she might be lying down on the floor. "So, did you get me? By just taking away all my arms?" that something on her head was glowing. There was a glowing purple fluid that was charging her from the back.

"What was that?"

"So, you can see me now? Are you happy?" then she grinned.

She took a sun figure in her hand and showed it to me. Suddenly, the sun's five rays near her folded and three rays in front of me lengthened. It was so quick that my reflex didn't respond swiftly as it reached my tummy –where my armor didn't reach. They were sharp, painful and throbbing. I felt numbness from my tummy that crawls upwards to my chest but before it reached my chest, I managed to cut the head of Lax with my last physical strength. The purple fluid was crawling on the floor as I move backwards to lean to the nearest wall before my legs get numb. I felt that my gastrointestinal tract was irritated and made me vomit thick iron flavored fluid.

The glowing fluid still illuminates light to the face of Lax. She was still laughing, her neck was still made of flesh but the spine was made of cables. It really pissed me off, so, to be sure, I summoned a fire towards her. That was the last thing I've seen until I was completely numb – and I know that blood was gushing from my abdomen.

"Master Ren, just stay here." Brix left Master Ren in a nearby forest at about four hundred meters away from a small cave-like opening below the dam office. The small-cave like opening is only half a meter tall which could be mistakenly identified as drainage canal. Brix rested Master Ren at the foot of a big fire tree. "Don't go back to Cazanette, Brix. At least save yourself."

"I need to save my friends too, and the Cazanettians. I don't want any more regrets."

As Brix rushed back towards the small opening to Cazanette where they passed through, the orange leaves of the fire tree poured down as the wind blew so hard, following Brix's footsteps. The leaves of the fire tree had trailed the footsteps of Brix as Master Ren watched Brix's back gradually faded with the leaves of the fire tree in his sight. As Master Ren loses his consciousness, little by little, just before it is gone, there was a loud sound of explosion coming from the small opening to Cazanette.

Just as Master Ren closed his eyes, Brix's cry was echoing through the forest. From the source of loud explosion, many people came out from the two-story office. As they ran towards the dam, another continuous explosions were heard which also put the dam office on big fire.

"Brix, go out now. Take Master Ren to a safe place and make an opening in the dam so that the Cazanettians won't drown… Faith…" the voice of Reevahn was echoing inside Brix's head as his face was drowning in flowing sorrow from his eyes. "Nina is doing her best."

"Damn you two! Why did you sacrifice yourselves for something like this?!" Brix cried.

Following Reevahn's command, Brix found his way to the dam to find an opening. On the side of the dam, there were about fifty people looking at the burning building and were surprised to see a crying green-armored man who was running towards them. Brix, with his eyes blurred by tears, scanned the area as if estimating where the hole of Cazanette may be. Some people were laughing at him because of his uncommon set of clothing. They became surprised and scared when Brix started to summon a whirlwind and made a tornado in the middle of the vast dam.

Meanwhile, helicopters, ambulances and firetrucks were approaching the dam because of the reported fire. There were reporters and newscasters present in the helicopters for a live broadcast of the fire incident but were diverted to a phenomenon where a teenage boy in armor is making a very big water tornado.

"Globus…" Brix called telepathically while he continued to control the water tornado to find the floor of the dam.

"Brix? Where are you now? It's dark in here. Give us your signal when you are ready. We are ready to fly." Globus replied.

"Are you with Gaila and Granger?"

"Yes, we are together with everyone."

Gaila, Globus, Granger and the others who were connected to Brix's voice heard a little pause before Brix wailed. Gaila and Granger understand what happened and also started to weep. Arthemia, the dowager, also sobbed after remembering how she and Nina met and how she excitedly made the dress she made Nina wear during the inauguration. Elder Miredifheimild shed tears as she recalled the face of Reevahn when the two boys visited her cottage and how Reevahn happily gave her those milk and cookies. The townspeople of Town of Knowledge remembered how Reevahn and Brix made them happy when they sand in the middle of the town. The hybrids were also saddened when they remembered how Nina and Reevahn crossed swords with the hypnotized purebreeds just to protect them. Whitey also sobbed as he also felt that Master Ren also sacrificed himself to protect Cazanettians.

"Let's not waste the sacrifice of those respectable people." Allythycne started. "We should look forward to the future that awaits us."

Another quake shook Cazanette as there was another explosion from the direction of Glowing Castle.

"Brix. Do what you should do." The Elder commanded.

Brix wiped his tears and gather courage to try flying. He succeeded as he slowly floated in the air and went above the dried part of the dam – the center of the tornado. Everyone was watching and recording what Brix was doing aside from the firefighters who entered the burning building. As Brix floated above the dam, he summoned two other small tornadoes from his palms and fused them together as his sword materialized from the wind he made. He threw his sword heavily downwards to the exposed dried dam floor. It made a crack in the soil. The wind around his sword widened to open the soil beneath the dam.

"A light." whispered the Elder.

"It's him. Let's force our way out." Globus suggested.

The HGHMs who were holding passengers at their legs forced their way out. They have the strongest skin and muscles among the flying hybrids which could easily destroy a thick wall.

People outside Cazanette startled as they saw the other species; big-reptile insect species that swarm away from the dam. The swarm of the flying hybrids with some purebreeds clawed and mounted to them made the people, who were watching Brix earlier, ran away in fear. As the last pair of Cazanettians went out from the dam, Brix released the wind which made the helicopter flown away by the wind. After he saw that the winged hybrids dropped everyone on land, he went to the helicopters.

"Are you a reporter?" asked Brix. The girl nodded

"Are you a cameraman?" asked Brix.

"Yes." The man focused the camera on Brix.

"Are we live? I need to tell everyone something. Please make it live and do not do anything to the species down there or you'll be dead meat."

While Brix was being broadcasted, Cazanettians slowly diffused into the nearby forest out of curiosity. Some of them flew up high. Whitey was taking a stroll while he was sobbing. He didn't notice a man lying under a tree, "Whitey?"

Whitey was surprised when he heard a familiar voice. "M-Master Ren?!" Master Ren smiled and they were reunited.

It is already five o'clock in the afternoon and I feel like I am going to lose my breath while I rush myself to get ready before my two male friends pick me up. These are all caused by our classmate, a petite-porcelain-like skinned lady and our friend Brix's ultimate crush, who gave him a ticket for three to the newly opened Oceanarium in our small city. My excitement made my body increase its adrenaline to its maximum.

"Do not forget to send me a message the moment you arrive at the oceanarium. Bring a towel, an umbrella, a flashlight and a teargas. Please be careful every time." My mother reminded. "Mother, I am going to an oceanarium, not a three day camp." I answered with a smile.

Now, because my mother's words made me rush up as twice as before, I am already prepared. I wear my favorite blue denim jumpsuit shorts over a white and gray striped long sleeves and a pair of gray ankle boots. Inside my silver glittered body bag are the gadgets that my mother told me to bring, including the cellular phone that my father used when he was still alive. I took a glance at my room; full of posters and figurines of my favorite anime series and cartoons, and bed with two long pillows printed with sexy posed female characters from the same series, before I went downstairs to embrace my mom before I go so that her worries will be lessened.

As my mother repeats, "Please be careful every time." And added, "Be a keen observer and sensitive.", the buzzer rang.

"Nina! Nina! We are here! Get out of the house or you'll be dead meat!" That was Brix, our friend who has the ticket; a very noisy man and says serious jokes every time he picks me up. Mother is used to it though; she even told me that if I'm late, she doesn't know where to put my bony leftovers.

I embraced my mother as she sent me off and I felt like I'm in dejavu when she said for the third time, "Please be very careful every time". And lastly, I responded due to my worries that she might be having memory loss. "Don't worry, mother. They said I'm a frightful delinquent that they need to be more careful of." At last she said something different. "Be home before supper or else, your collection will turn to ashes." She smiled. I responded with a smile and a hug before I left the house with my friends. I have a weird feeling that my body misses a lot of my mom's cuddle.

"If you have a curfew then let's stop walking and wait for a tramcar." Said Reevahn, an intellectual one who usually asks for the reason of existence and relation of everything to everything – maybe he was a philosopher in his previous life.

The tramcar arrived and we stepped inside the half-populated tramcar. A wizard looking lady suddenly ran and cross the tramway which made the tramcar suddenly stopped. Reevahn went unbalanced that he tripped himself. One of his rings rolled and I ran to catch it while Brix helped him get up.

"Reevahn. Here is your ring. Are you alright?"

"Yes, thank you for saving my ring. You know how valuable they are to me like your collections."

"Haha. Of course, I know the feeling."

"Be glad that it was not lost underwater." said Brix.

"Yeah, because I'm sure you will be mad and… wait. Brix, Reevahn, I think, something like this already happened before, but I can't remember crearly."

"What do you mean?" Reevahn asked.

"It feels like something is different."

The tramcar stopped in front of the Oceanarium. We were excited that we haven't finished our conversation.

Inside the Oceanarium, I saw a big aquarium with many sea creatures swimming. I saw a small decoration which is a small castle in the aquarium. It tickles my memory saying that I've seen it before.

"Nina." A voice called.

"What?" I turned to Brix and Reevahn

"What what????" Brix confusedly asked.

"You called me."

"No, we did not."

"Then, who called me?"

"No one. We didn't hear anything."

"Nina… go near the aquarium. I'm talking inside your mind. You need to wake up. What you are seeing now is not real." said the voice.

I followed the instruction and my eyes were attracted again to the small castle. My eyes blinked slowly as the surroundings in my vision gradually disappear and foamed into water. The castle was not changing. Suddenly, it felt like my senses returned as I felt pain on my stomach. There, I remembered Cazanette and what happened to us. The laboratory explored after I lost my consciousness because of the stabs the Lax gave me.

I was inside the bubble just like before when Theta saved me. On my right was another bubble with a sleeping Reevahn inside.

"Thank you for saving us again, Theta."

"You are welcome, Nina." Theta replied while gradually appearing in front of me. She swam to Reevahn. "This friend of yours is already healed. I think he is going to wake up soon."

"Cazanette is already destroyed. We are sorry for that. What will happen to you after this?" I asked.

"The shrine will still be here, but I don't think people could also find the spring of youth. Cazanettians and you three will have my permission if you want to visit this underwater shrine.

Reevahn was opening his eyes. "Thank you for saving us, nymph Theta."

The nymph smiled and she casted the bubbles upwards. "Everyone is waiting for you. I think you should go. I will protect all Cazanettians from here. Just call me in any body of water and we can communicate. Go forth and meet those who mourn for you."

"Good day to everyone in Verwandstadt City. My name is Brix. You may be laughing at my current appearance or at the story that I will tell you, but these are the truth that every citizen should know.

We may not believe in the existence of fantasy creatures from the legends but I can show you the proof that they exist. You may have seen different creatures earlier. They are not robots, camera tricks or CGIs. These creatures were experimented in an enigmatic world under our city, Cazanette, which was left unknown for generations. The experimentation among these living beings should have stopped by now upon the destruction of their hidden laboratory. We are requesting everyone to adapt to the changes and allow these creatures to live like ordinary citizens. We should be stewards and welcome them to our world, as what they have done when I and my two friends were in their care. Thank you."

Brix suddenly jumped off the helicopter and fell to the depressed water of the dam.

As our bubbles float upwards, Brix suddenly dived into water as we caught him. Reevahn and my bubbles combined as we three are reunited with one large bubble. Brix opened his eyes while our arms support his back. He liked at us and sighed. "So, now I won't be lonely anymore. Where are we going now? Heaven or hell?"

"Hahahaha…" Reevahn laughed.

"What are you saying, Brix? Did you commit suicide?" I asked, thinking of doing prank to Brix if he believes that he is already dead and we are just fetching hum from the afterlife.

"No, I didn't. I just want to fall to the water. I can't believe I would die that easily."

"Of course you don't." Reevahn laughed so hard.

Brix's facial expression was too funny. He looked so confused about our reactions.

"What came across your mind to suddenly dive into the water like that?" Reevahn asked.

"I don't think I deserve to live when my best friends sacrificed themselves. I don't even know how to face your families while I live."

"What you did is not sacrifice. You should continue living for the Cazanettians and for your family who loves you and who is waiting for you to come back" I explained. "Now you should go back and don't waste the sacrifice of your friends."

Brix looked up into the light and the bubble went upwards, leaving the water. The voice of nymph Theta echoed in our minds. "Go forth my friends and lead the Cazanettians to your world for your survival. I give you my gratitude by giving you my elemental gifts that can be used in your world. You may call me in any body of water if you need something from me. Thank you for saving Cazanette, the land in the spring of youth." As the voice of the nymph fades, the floating bubble reached the shore of the dam where many people gathered staring sacredly at the mixed breeds of Cazanettians, who came from the forest. During the heavy gaze and frightened bodies of Verwandstadt citizens, another helicopter flew around the opposite sides of different species. It was the mayor of Verwandstadt who saw Brix's broadcast about Cazanette. He was about 5 foot three inches in height who has tan skin, gray hair, face with goatie and wearing fitted collared shirt which shows his dad bod. He went down in between the opposite group of species from the rope of helicopter. He looked amazed by glaring at Cazanettians' different shapes and sizes. His eyes and mouth describe the disbelief in his mind.

As his feet touch the soil, he gently bows in front of the Cazanettians. "I bow before you to show my respect. May I speak to your leader for a small talk?" Queen Allythycne and the Hybrid chief slowly marched towards the mayor for courtesy. They bowed their heads and introduced themselves.

"I am Queen Allythycne of Cazanette. I ruled over the Cazanette especially the purebreeds."

"I am the Hybrid Chief. I lead the hybrids and I serve as an ambassador and adviser to the rulers of Cazanette for many generations."

Upon seeing the politeness of the leaders of Cazanette, the mayor took a deep breath of relief. He turned upon the Verwandstadt people and declared,

"I see no harm from their leaders. They showed us respect so we shall too. This is the beginning of a change, of a new era. I know it is not easy to adjust but may all of us learn to adapt to changes with our world is their salvation, from their world is our new education."

The mayor walked towards us as he knows Brix's face from the broadcast. We were covered behind the Verwandstadt citizens that they did not notice. The mayor talked to us. "To the three of you…"

Brix was surprised and turned to his back and saw us alive, "Three?! You mean you are not ghosts?!!" Reevahn and I chuckled.

"To the three of you who have returned from another world, I give you authority to help the city plan for this change. You might have things in your mind that you want to tell us. If we also have time, I want to hear the stories of your adventure."

"I will also help them write the history of our people, Mayor." Said Chaeldra. "Thank you for having us."

Gaila, Granger and Globus ran towards us for a small reunion. Some children approached cute hybrids. Many people were still afraid of HGHMs but one stand out to touch them. He was a brave tall teen with brown hair, oriental eyes. Everyone is taking their first step to this change. Some of them adopted Cazanettians in their household. Others took the opportunity for job offers.

"It is good to see them having an outdoor acquaintance party." Reevahn said.

"Yeah. You are right. So we have a little reunion party for pranksters like you two? I thought you really died. There was a big explosion and it's impossible to survive." Cried Brix

"Technically, I know I really died, but the nymph rescued us and resurrected us. After my consciousness faded, I woke up inside a bubble beside Reevahn's bubble."

"It was not a good experience but I am thankful that we are alive." said Reevahn.

The mayor listened to Arthemia's stories about her adventure. She was the same as us and she is of legal age for statements needed for investigation.

"If it still continues for many generations, someone or some people are still into those goals. We should start investigating in Verwandstadt to know if there are still people responsible for these events." The mayor stated.

Luckily, adopted Cazanettians were taken home by the Verwandstadt because there was a man from the dam office who was running for his life, followed by six to ten people behind him which includes firefighters. "There is a bomb!!! Run!!!"

Everyone was in panic. The helicopters hastily took some people and flew back to the city. Winged hybrids also took as many as they could. Everybody was in the sky when the dam office had a big explosion, which also caused a forest fire. A few moments later, when everyone is safe, everybody saw that the water from the dam threw a very tall fountain that reached the forest and stopped the fire. There was a rainbow afterwards which amuses the Cazanettians. It was the first rainbow they saw in their life.

There was a week of recovery and adaptation of the people. The previous Queen is given a house with the dowager and her palace people. She was given the title, Ambassadress of Caz. Caz was the short name given by the Mayor to Cazanette and Cazees is the term given by the mayor to refer to Cazanette. Some group of hybrids and purebreeds lived in fields with farmers and other agricultural workers. Arthemia educated the agricultural workers of how to get protein extracts to make meat substitutes. Some people from the Town of Knowledge conduct meetings to share their knowledge with the people of Verwandstadt. The mayor announced the rehabilitation project for the dam. Solar plants and wind mills were used for electricity as a substitute for hydroelectric power source, but everybody is advised to use electricity wisely.

"It is good that everything is going well and everyone cooperates." My mother said. Of course, you may think that she was calm now, but she was not when I first saw her after the Cazanette incident.

Reevahn and Chaeldra mounted on Granger, Brix and the Elder mounted on Globus, I and the dowager mounted on Gaila when we went back to the city. Little did we know that the news caster continued to report live inside a helicopter while following us which was broadcasted in the city. It was decided by the mayor to land on the city grandstand.

From the skies, I saw the small image of our parents. I thought the squatting crying woman was my mother. I was not mistaken.

"Gaila, Your Majesty, she is my mother."

Gaila landed and I ran towards my mother as I gave her an embrace of longingness.

"Mother…" I cried.

"I was looking for you, but I cannot fund any clues about you. The amusement park is not there anymore. I received your text message but I won't believe it because I thought, what if it was just a bandit and they already sold you." She cried.

"I am here now. I'm okay. I know you suffered a lot. I will give you the time we've lost. I also found new friends. Stand up now. I will introduce you to them." I assured her.

"Your daughter came back a hero." said the dowager.

My mother lifted her head and looked at the dowager. "A-Arthemia?! You're alive?!"

"Yes, Alice, my sister."

I was also surprised that the Dowager was my lost aunt all along.

Everyone has their part on rebuilding the city. The investigators cannot find any clue on how Cazanette underworld is connected to the amusement park. They measured the distance of the past location of amusement park and the location of the dam. They gather the measurement data from the Town of Knowledge people. They did not also find any passage from the area of the previous amusement park that could lead to the dam. It was a mystery for the fact collectors, but to us, we believe that it is caused by the magic of the nymph. Nymphs are minor deities so they may do whatever they please. Maybe.

We do not possess the elemental gems anymore although we can switch now to our casual wear and armor attire any time we please. We three got some marks in our clavicle. These marks consist of three rows of lines.

A month after the incident, the dam is rebuilt. It was not as good as before, but it is an opportunity for upgrades. School days also came by but the teachers said that we were gone too long and it is impossible to compute our grades. We were advised to enroll next year with full scholarship. It is okay with me so I can spend the lost time I had for my mother. My aunt visits our house frequently. Reevahn was designing buildings and was helping with the reconstructions. Brix was studying with Chaeldra and researching for usable knowledge. Sometimes, Gaila and I fly to check upon the situations of the Cazees. I was also happy that my tamed HGHMS were taken care of a boy of our age alone. He seemed fond of any animals without discrimination.

I love to see that the two worlds that I cared for are combined in a single sight. I feel peace and comfort in my hometown. But honestly, it is sad to think that I do not have any photo of my previous armors and dresses.
