FAMILIAR RED HAIR

Conflicted thoughts ran through both of their minds. The ride was engulfed with the utmost silence. None dared to speak. One in embarrassed about what had happened, and the other had serious thoughts about the spy. Astrel dialed someone, and not soon, the call connected to the other line. They spoke for about fifteen minutes.

Curious Vilian had her whole attention on the call, which was on speaker. Luckily she was pretty much aware of the topic. It was about the suspicious lady she had given information to Astrel, and they were suspecting a lady named Daria given her features. Seems like she was the only person who has a mole on her pinky finger.

After a while, Astrel raised his phone in front of her. Surprisingly it was the same lady she had seen at the restaurant en-tice.

"She's the one!" she exclaimed. Astrel questioned nothing more but nodded his head with a grim expression on his face.

What a thick head he is. How is he so blank? thought Vilian gazing at him, but the thoughts crashed as soon as he took a turn to his left and stopped the car. Vilian gazed out but could not make out exactly where she was, for the car was more like a down-to-earth one.

Not a word left his lips, he got out of the car and shut the door, 'THUD' deafening her ears and startling her. In a little while, she saw him put his head into the car through the car shutter and gaze at her with his slitted eyebrow raised, "What, are you waiting for me to spread the red carpet and walk you out? Get out already!" he questioned sarcastically and almost spat out the latter.

Vilian rolled her eyes. How would she know when he neither gestured nor called her out?

"Such an eyesore," she muttered lowly as she got out of the car and bent forward to take her purse which was lying on the seat but stopped when she heard him say,

"Leave that thing," wordlessly she stood straight and shut the door only to gawk at the car once more. 'Wasn't the car black, or were her eyes losing their vision?' Her inner voice screamed, gawking at the beauty of the car in the bright daylight. Back when she first saw the car in the parking lot, she could not register its perfect beauty. Not to say, when she stepped out of the car due to her short panic attack, she wasn't in her right mind but now? Now it was clearly in front of her sight, and it was marvelous.

Midnight blue shined bright as the daylight reflected over its beautiful curves, blinding her sight with its awe. Vilian could not take her eyes off it. She raised her hand at thought of touching it but not soon her wrist was grabbed by someone dragging her in the opposite direction.

"Are you sick? What are you doing, you annoying fly? I here came in the thought of helping you by sharing that piece of informa- What are we doing in front of a hospital, and why are you dragging me in?!" she screamed nonstop, grabbing the attention of the passerby who glanced at them with wide eyes, confusion written all over there face as if they were witnessing a crazed person

"Do you want me to carry you in my arms?" She glared at him from behind as he dragged her straight toward the blue and white building. Seven feet tall letters stood nearby the entrance that read, 'SAPPHIRE LAKE INFIRMARY'

"Let me go, you devil!" She screamed once again as he pushed the revolving door at the entrance.

Vilian was about to bite him when he glanced back at her with a sinister look as he let her go and encircled her by her waist, closing their gap as he held her chin, gazing right into her doe-like pupils, "How about I seal that pretty little mouth of yours with mine?" He questioned as he grazed his thumb on her lower lips. His eyes lingered over her plump lips for a while and snapped back onto her eyes that never left his gaze.

Vilian's heart was beating erratically as she felt chills run down her spine just by the touch of his. She was about to speak when he stepped away and walked ahead as if he did nothing. She felt embarrassed as she felt the gaze of the people who witnessed the scene Astrel had created. She bit her lips and tagged closely behind the devil who now had a calm and relaxed face with a smirk tugging on his lips.

Meekly she raised her head and gazed at her surrounding as she kept her footing at an equal pace trying her best as to not miss her foot over the vinyl hospital flooring. Everything that could shine, did shine. Everything that caught her eyes was stainless and sleek, including the floor and the art on the walls were all natural images in colors as bright as glacier meltwater, or you may call it to spring flowers. Unlike any other hospitals, she had ever visited the air in here had a pure fragrance, not sterile, just clean. If she were to meet the person who owned the hospital she'd thank them a million times.

The feeling of the hospital was out of the box. In the background, the music was playing at just the right level to give the patients and staff an emotional lift.

Out of all that existed, the best part was the ceiling, just a clear transparent, and high arch. It was like standing out in the open without the risk, even if it rained.

Astrel gazed behind only to chuckle at Vilian's childish expression. Mouth in an 'O' shape and her doe-like eyes, gazing at anything and everything curiously. Her eyes were sparkling with excitement.

'Hasn't she ever been to a place like this?' thought Astrel but shook his head and turned left, passing through the overhead automatic sliding door. Walking a little ahead, he frowned as his ears twitched at the thudding sound. He took an about turn, only to burst out in a laugh.

Just what was she? A 4-year-old kid?

Vilian was beyond embarrassment. What more was there at stock to happen? She knocked herself right into the glass wall, so lost in praising the hospital and the person who owned it.

"Uff... Vili. You made yourself a laughingstock in front of everyone," she mumbled as she stepped back and entered through the overhead automatic sliding door, trying her best to act nonchalant. But how could she when the devil was still laughing at her silly behavior?

Vilian huffed and glared at him as she walked passed her.

"Watch where you're going, little kitty. I bet the veterinarian would be glad to meet you," he said, pointing at the board above her. She glanced up at it and gritted her teeth as she followed him.

Astrel reached a navy double door with their plastic band fastened midway, and their silver handle stood in front of them. A draft of cold air hit her as soon as the door was pushed open. Ahead of them came a view of a spacious cabin with a large brown mahogany desk on the left corner of it. Various types of files were stacked one above another. A small penholder consists of a sharp pencil, a ruler, and a signature pen. That was all on the table.

The nameplate was missing.

Cut into tiny squares by the thin wire was the window panel on the right of the table. Light refracted through it. Beautiful flower plants planted into cute little pots were placed in every visible corner.

There was a grey door right beside the big bookshelf on the right clean white wall.

Astrel entered the cabin and sat on the plushy couch immediately without a word. Vilian followed him into the cabin. She did nothing but stand in front of the door, observing everything that existed in the neat and clean cabin.

Nothing like the poster of a biology picture or anything related to health was visible to her eyes. It was only that there was a white coat that was draped over the swivel chair and a stethoscope hung over it.

Suddenly she heard the falling of water and the grey door swing open startling Vilian. She got to see finally see the guy to whom the lovely cabin belonged. A familiar red-haired guy.
