Date with Momo

The door opened to the café shop where Ren was going to meet her.

And when she entered, Ren's eyes shined full of light as he saw how fabulous she looked.

She was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt, with a blue coat above it, and a skirt on her lower half.

Stockings that were a deep maroon color also were visible, with classy shoes on her feet.

The clothes maketh the person, was a very good phrase to use now, as one could see how they failed to hide her form and deadly stunning curves.

Her form was absolutely stunning, and she also happened to see Ren looking at her and blushed.

This was Yaoyorozu Momo.

And she had been waiting patiently for a while now, and finally couldn't take it anymore and was about to make a move herself.

But then she was surprised when she saw Ren's phone number one morning on her screen.

She had hurriedly taken the call, and this led to their current meeting.

Ren smiled as he watched her take a deep breath and start coming toward him.

He was proactively going after the girls that he liked and they expressed some interest in him.

Among them, Momo was number one of course, but she wasn't the only one. There was Froppy, or Tsuyu Asui, Sicily too, and there was also Ino and Tsunade recently.

He would go after them all, as that was simply his nature.

But he never cared about that. Once he sets his mind to it, no one can stop him, and he wouldn't argue with anyone, after all, he never forced any girl to do anything.

Momo walked steadily, and finally, she reached the second floor and took a seat at his table directly across from him.

"Mister Ren, it's been a while,"

Momo raised her shining eyes as she happily smiled and greeted him.

"Please, Momo, call me Ren,"

Ren replied with a kind smile on his face that seemingly was so dazzling that she blushed slightly and was startled.

"That…"

She didn't know what to say, but somehow inside her mind, she was very happy.

"Then… Ren, hehe"

She smiled back at him and the way her cheeks were tinted in a rose color had Ren also smile while happy.

A waiter came and took her order, and Ren waited for her to do so, and once they were done he started chatting with her.

A while later their drinks had come and the two started to chat pleasantly with each other for a bit before finally, Ren said.

"Momo, it's been a while since we fought together in that gate, right?"

He remembered how impressive her ability sounded to him at that time.

It was enough to leave an impression on even someone like him. And he was by no means arrogant since he was now among the strongest in the world. Or at least he thought so

At any rate, if any of his girls were weak, they can just stay with him and they'll naturedly grow stronger.

But bringing up this topic… it didn't seem like Momo was as eager as him.

"That's true…"

Ren saw how her expression was a bit stiff and didn't understand what was the matter so he asked.

"What's wrong?"

Momo sighed and locked eyes with his, she saw the genuine confusion in his eyes and thought to herself.

What she meant were the guys who were around the same age as Ren.

Ren was still confused but then something managed to click in his mind.

'I see,'

He finally understood.

Seeing him understand her, Momo was also surprised slightly, but she guessed it was to be expected of someone like him.

"Being around us in age, and even in strength back then, but now you have soared to the sky and reached such a legendary status of the SSS rank,"

As she had said, the news about Ren being an SSS rank and not a weak one at that had spread all over the continent this time.

He wasn't an S rank no more, so the news this time covered wide than before.

And it had led to the youthful genius heroes to feel jealousy, envy, and perhaps even inferiority.

After all, Ren was an SSS rank in his twenties. He had already reached the end of the ladder that they were climbing.

Even someone like her who wasn't normally jealous of anyone and was praised for her trait, couldn't help the pangs of jealousy she suffered, especially since she wanted to be with Ren and not as a flower vase but as an equal.

How could she not feel bad since she had barely reached the A rank now?

But Ren then spoke up as he saw her downcast expression.

He didn't really mean to bring her down at all, so he thought he should do something about this.

"Momo, do you think you are weak?"

He asked her gently as he reached forth and held her hand.

Momo blushed and wanted to move her hand, but it seemed like she also didn't at the same time, and even enjoyed it.

She blushed but didn't make any move after.

Still, she nodded her head at his words.

'of course, I'm weak, look how far I'm behind,'

She wanted to say that, but she didn't in the end and just sighed while enjoying the touch of Ren.

After all, she was sure he was only meeting her now maybe due to the relationship they had in the past, but after he saw her today, she didn't know why he'd still be interested in her.

She shook her head from the bitter thoughts and decided to at least enjoy this one time with Ren.

"You silly girl, then tell me this,"

Ren reached forward as he stood up and raised her chin to look at him.

She blushed even more as the redness extended to her neck, but she looked into his eyes nonetheless.

"How many people do you know that are as old as you, and are stronger or as strong as you?"

Ren's words made her usual analytical brain start to work at a very fast speed.

After a bit, she managed to understand.

At the very best of estimates, there were only a few people her age who can even come close to comparing to her at her age.

And she would even beat some older geniuses than her.

'Is this what he's trying to say? The problem isn't that I'm weak, but that he is just too… strong?'

When she thought about that and tried to find someone like Ren, it seemed that to her knowledge he was one of a kind.

All SS rank and above were generally old people, and despite their youthful looks, they were really young.

Ren was truly unique.

"Don't compare yourself t me, as even though I'm not arrogant, I'm aware that I'm one of a kind in this world, and in the future, if we got closer, you'd know why that is, but let's not talk about that,"

Ren's words registered in her ears.

And despite blushing at the insinuation of them getting closer since it brought some embarrassing dreams she had about him, she genuinely believed him when he said he was unique.

'If he said he was the number two hero among the younger generation, can anyone say they are first?'

Momo was stunned as she thought about it from this angle.

Indeed, it seemed like the fault wasn't with her.

"Being as young as you are and already being A rank, and with such an amazing trait nonetheless, it seems to me that you are very impressive,"

Ren praised her with heartfelt words and not just pacifying lines.

Her trait was really that amazing.

Imagine the possibilities it has… just thinking of some, he was already speechless.

And even among the girls he knew, he could say she was definitely as much of a genius as they were.

Momo blushed at his words, and now that her eyes were opened she couldn't help but cough to hide her embarrassment.

She squeezed some words out, but Ren wasn't able to hear her properly.

It was apparent that he had heard her just well, he was just bullying her.

Momo saw that and was speechless.

"I-I said t-thank you,"

Still, she can't keep silent like that and not express her thanks, so she mustered her courage to say it again.

Ren then ended up laughing.

"You're welcome,"

And her ears reddened from that.

"You… Hmph,"

She snorted as she turned her head to the side.

"So even Momo can be this cute, Haha," Ren didn't let out and continued teasing her.

Momo's head almost exploded from overheating at that moment.

"Cute… Cute… Me?"
