"Just what is wrong with Natasha??" asked Dom to himself as he drove, he could not understand her at all, at least before he had an idea of what was going on in her head, but now he had no idea at all, she had shut him out totally, and he did not like that at all, she had shown that she was mentally unstable with all the things she had done before, which was why he was so worried.
"She is very cold towards me, she goes out irregularly, and I have no idea at all of what she's actually doing??" said Dom to himself as he sighed, he just could not understand, she used to only stay at home and wait for him to return, but nowadays that was the exact opposite, she always went out to where he did not know at all.
Dom was just concerned, just up to two weeks ago Natasha was normal, and now she was acting weird doing things that he would have never imagined that she would do, and most of all she was more assertive than usual against him.
A call coming in on Dom's phone snapped him out of his raging thoughts.
"Hello" said Dom as he picked up his call and his phone was connected to his car's radio system, so he could receive calls while he drove.
"Hello Sir, Good Morning" came the voice of the Secretary.
"Good Morning" said Dom.
"What can I do for you?" asked Dom.
"Well Sir, I noticed that you have not yet arrived at the office" said the Secretary.
"I just wanted to remind you that the documents for the Textile Plant that you took home during the weekend to review is needed today" said the Secretary.
"Oh, yes I remember that, I have reviewed it, and everything seems in order" said Dom as he made a turn.
"Sir, do you have those documents with you now?" asked the Secretary.
"Oh, No I do not, I forgot them, I remember that I left them back on my desk at home" said Dom as he shook his head, he had forgotten all about them.
"Oh what a shame sir" said the Secretary as she shook her head.
"Not to worry, I am actually on my way to the office now, but I can make a quick turn home" said Dom.
"Alright then Sir" said the secretary.
"Yes, so I should arrive at the office at around 10am" said Dom as he took a quick turn and he turned back on the main road.
"Okay Sir" said the Secretary.
"Oh, and Sir" said the Secretary.
"Yes…" said Dom.
"Congratulations on your daughter's first day of school" said the Secretary as she smiled.
"Oh Thank you" said Dom as he smiled.
"Who told you?" asked Dom.
"Well Mr. Charlie was here earlier" said the Secretary as she smiled.
"I guessed as much" said Dom as he laughed, who else was such a blabber mouth, it was none other than Charlie.
"Well Thank you for your well wishes, and I will see you later" said Dom as he smiled.
"Alright sir see you" said the Secretary as she smiled and she ended the call.
…
Natasha had arrived back home, she had taken a taxi, and now she was in her office, she did not know why, but for some reason, the house seemed empty without Joy, there was no sign of her laughs, or her giggles, and it made the house seem somewhat sad.
Natasha had met Alfred when she had arrived, and even he admitted to the fact that the house felt lonely without Joy, and Natasha could agree now, she felt very lonely, she was a mother, she could not help but feel sad and empty without her baby, even though she was only at school for half the day.
"Oh look at you Natasha, you are the parent here, and yet you are the one feeling sad" said Natasha to herself as she laughed at herself, she really did think that she was being silly.
Natasha's laughing was interrupted by a call on her phone, and she looked at the caller id as she smiled and she picked up the call.
"Good Morning Chloe" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh Natasha, gosh, there is serous trouble, serious trouble" came Chloe's panicked voice from the other side of the line, which startled Natasha.
"What??" asked Natasha as she could not understand what was going on.
"Oh Natasha, there is serious trouble happening right now on the farm" said Chloe as she was hyperventilating.
"Okay, Chloe, Chloe" called Natasha.
"Yes??" said Chloe as she sounded like she was on the verge of crying.
"Please relax, calm down, breathe in and out okay" said Natasha as she talked to Chloe calmly.
"Okay, okay" said Chloe as she did as she was told and she breathed in and out, and she took deep breaths.
"Good, Like that" said Natasha.
"Now calmly tell me what is wrong" said Natasha.
"Oh Natasha" said Chloe as she sounded calmer than she was before.
"I don't know what happened, but…" said Chloe as she could not believe it herself.
"But what?" asked Natasha.
"But pests have attacked the tomato crops" said Chloe.
"What??" asked Natasha as she could not believe this.
"Almost a third of the tomato crops planted have been eaten by pests" said Chloe.
"But how is that possible?? Weren't the crops treated already??" asked Natasha as this made no sense at all, she had treated all the other crops she had planted, and that included the tomatoes too, so why were they still attacked??
"I don't know, I seriously don't know, I did check the logs, and the tomatoes were treated with pesticides not to long ago" said Chloe as she could not believe this too.
"But it seems that the pests that attacked the tomatoes are different" said Chloe.
"It is possible that the pesticides could not ward them off" said Chloe.
"Oh my" said Natasha, they were all so blind, how could they have not treated against this.
"Oh Natasha, I am so sorry, this is all my fault" said Chloe.
"Chloe, what do you mean?" asked Natasha as she could not understand what Chloe was going on about, this was not her fault at all, she was sure that Chloe was just saying that out of her frustration and sadness of the crops being eaten.
"I am bad luck, I am seriously bad luck" said Chloe as she began to cry,
"How come it's the day that I officially start being the manager that this happens??" asked Chloe as she cried.
"I am just super bad luck" said Chloe.
"You need to fire me Natasha, or else I will cost you money" said Chloe as she kept on crying and ranting.
"*Sigh*" said Natasha as she sighed, Chloe was being way too hard on herself.
"Oh Chloe, stop saying nonsense, I will not fire you" said Natasha.
"But I do deserve to be fired, I have bad luck" said Chloe as she cried.
"Oh stop saying that Chloe, you do not have bad luck, there is nothing wrong with you at all" said Natasha as she tried her best to make Chloe feel better.
"But…" said Chloe as she cried.
"But nothing" said Natasha as she cut her off.
"This could have happened under anybody's watch, you are not a time traveller that knows when things will happen, so stop blaming yourself, you did nothing wrong at all, this could have happened to anybody" sad Natasha.
"Okay" said Chloe as she stopped crying and she sniffed.
"Yes, so stop crying, pick yourself back up and be strong, because I know that you are a very strong woman" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Oh but I am busy here crying like a baby" said Chloe as she laughed with tears in her eyes and she sniffed.
"Oh who told you that strong women don't cry?? Of course they do" said Natasha as she laughed and Chloe laughed too.
"Do you feel better now?" asked Natasha as she smiled.
"Yes I do Natasha" said Chloe as she sniffed and she dried her eyes.
"Thank you" said Chloe as she smiled.
"Anytime" said Natasha as she smiled.
"So concerning the crops" said Natasha.
"Tell Mandy to tell the workers to spray another pesticide on the remaining tomato crops" said Natasha.
"Okay, and will you replant the lost crops?" asked Chloe.
"No, I do not have the money for that" said Natasha as she did not feel like putting any more of Dom's money into her business.
"We will just have to make do with the remaining crops" said Natasha.
"Alright Natasha" said Chloe.
"Alright, I will get back to you later" said Natasha as she smiled.
"Alright, see you Natasha and thank you once again" said Chloe as she smiled.
"You are welcome Chloe" said Natasha as she smiled and she ended the call and she put her phone back on the table as she sighed heavily.
If her predictions were right, she should have succeeded regardless of everything, but then again, she was not sure at all, she was only going on based on instinct, and faith that what she was doing right now would prosper.
