Laura Kinney Part 3

Seeing their faces of surprise, I didn't wait any longer and decided to continue attacking by shooting at the two men in front of me. Coming out of their surprise the other men pointed their guns at me.

It was a very stupid decision, since seconds later two of the men were pierced by claws that belonged to Laura, who had not attacked because they had her mother, but seeing them try to shoot me and forgetting that they had her mother she takes that chance for kill them.

I also helped finish off the rest of them.

Ending the threat, I turned my gaze to little Laura who was also watching me without intending to retract her claws.

Understanding her intentions, I can only put an ironic smile on my face.

"Girl, I just helped you, can't you trust me a little?" I told her.

"Grrr"

The only response I got was a little growl from her.

I was speechless, what are you, an animal? Well, your father is Wolverine.

BUT DON'T FOLLOW HIS STEPS!!

While I was in a staring contest with the still suspicious brat, we heard a voice interrupt our *conversation*.

"Laura, daughter, cough... cough... relax, I don't think it's someone who wants to hurt us."

The one who spoke was Sarah, I knew her name from how she called Laura.

Laura, who heard her mother, stopped exchanging glances with me and quickly approached her side, completely ignoring my presence.

"This brat…" I said speechless for her quick change.

Sarah, after consoling her daughter a little, turned her gaze in my direction.

Giving me a soft smile that made me uncomfortable, she said:

"Thank you for helping us young man, I know it might be unreasonable but could you do me a favor that I will not be able to repay due to my situation, but please I beg you to accept"

"Ma'am, my name is Alex Wayne and I understand a bit the favor you want and since I'm already involved then I'll help until the end. Now, tell me what you want me to help you"

Giving me a smile, she said:

"Protect Laura and the other children from their pursuers"
