Mila greeted the company's HR. She has to report to them since she's been away for a whole week with the excuse of being traumatized by the assassination incident, and, of course, she can tell them about her gunshot wound.

Also, Mila could guess that there must be bad news for her as the HR assistant's expression differed from her usual bright approach. She tried to hide her worry and waited for whatever the bad news was.
