"I'm fine," Si Fuqing reassured as she gently held the flight attendant's wrist, subtly checking her pulse with an untroubled smile. "I just felt a bit queasy and wanted to use the restroom. Are your colleagues perhaps too exhausted? I noticed one of them has dozed off."
The flight attendant, momentarily taken aback, glanced down to see her fellow crew members passed out. "No, that can't be..."
They had flown for years, encountering various emergencies. How could they have made such a blunder as to fall asleep from exhaustion?
"Give them some coffee to perk up," Si Fuqing suggested, patting her shoulder and said, "I'm going back." She then headed back to her seat, leaving the bewildered attendant watching her go.
The crew members on the floor gradually regained consciousness, equally astonished after hearing the attendant's account.
But they were indeed unconscious, and it could not be explained with any other reason.
