“Do you really not know what your boss is doing, or are you pretending not to?” He didn’t answer, and I didn’t bother looking up to gauge his reaction. I’ve come to realize that none of the men in this room are stupid. From what I’d come to know of Lyon, he could care less about sticking his nose in my personal business just for kicks.

It may have taken me a day or two to catch on, but I’m almost certain that he’s judging my character by using my handling of my relationship with Silla. I wasn’t quite sure of my assessment at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I came to realize that it might be true.
