Chapter 66: Drugging

Just yesterday, Lucas Carter told her that Charlotte Cooper was already married and that he was ready to start a new life. He even hinted that she was the type he liked very much, so he would never be so attentive to Charlotte.

Olga Johnston believed that Charlotte must have used some tricks to make Lucas so nice to her.

The assistant watched Olga's movements, coughed lightly, and glanced at the gossiping people nearby.

"Amelia, I know you like Mr. Carter, but you shouldn't be so obvious on set. It's easy for everyone to see, and if Mr. Carter doesn't like you, it'll just be awkward."

Her voice was soft, but clear enough for Olga to hear.

"You think I'll be embarrassed?" she asked in response.

"What's embarrassing about pursuing someone you like? I don't care who's watching."

Her voice was loud, but no one looked up from what they were doing.
