Decremental Auction

In the auction, Lin Cian bought some treasures which are probably thrash for others but for him they are treasures. After a while, the auction manager concluded with a small speech

"Thank you, everyone, for your kindness and support. Have a good day. Now it's time to begin the decremental auction. Now I welcome the representative of our auction house Mr. Trize"

A man in his thirties came forward from backstage. He wore a long robe in grey. His brown hair was tied in a ponytail style. He wore glasses and had a beard on his chin. He was at least 6 feet tall. He came forward and start to give a small introduction about the decremental auction. Indeed, it's not the first time to conduct a decremental auction in this auction house but this is mandatory because there may be someone without knowing to bid. After all, not all auction houses hold this type of bidding.

Decremental auction is also a type of auction in which the price is reduced rather than increasing. When someone from the auction house was fooling around in a marketplace while on a vacation he saw the flowers and some kinds of stuff were sold in such a way.

The starting price of the product will be called for an extremely high price than the actual price of the product. The auctioneer will start to decrease the price until someone calls it 'mine.' The caller has to pay the prize in which the product is owned. The one to call first will own it so there will be a chance for them to earn.

This method is followed by some auction houses because there will be a big queue of people willing to auction their product which is relatively cheap and not suitable for open bidding. The auction houses believe that that would slander their name. To avoid the queue, they arranged this specific type of auction which will only happen once a week.

After the introduction, the decremental auction started. The products were just junk and really not suitable for open bidding. There were like some flowers which are rare but not valuable. There were some remains of animals which are not at all useful. There were also some expensive products but severely damaged.

'After all the decremental auction is not at all a bad thing' because of the 'first to call owns' concept the products may be sold at a price higher than the original price.

'How thoughtful of you?' Lin Cian thought followed by a short laugh. The auction house got 10 percent of the sold product auctioned by them. So it is an ingenious way to make money.

After some time, there came a product that stirred the interest of Lin Cian. The initial price of the product is 5 gold coins. Lin Cian immediately shouted

'mine'

Lin Cian could feel several stares at him. He just smiled but internally he was excitedly laughing in his demonic form.

'hehe, no one knew what it is. Fools how can you be so arrogant. Do you even know the price for this product?' Lin Cian thought in his mind. What he bought for 5 gold is a small piece of light-colored jade with an imperial green hue. This small piece of jade is also called ice jade. It is pure jadeite that will be formed in an energy-rich cold area. Its value will be more than twenty times if the size is slightly bigger.

'Since no one appreciates it then I shall hehe' the young man laughed internally.

After that, a strange lot came to the stage. It was a sheet of paper in which both side ends were fastened to pieces of cardboard. It seemed to be a letter from a higher authority.

An auction manager called out "It was a letter from around two hundred years ago. It was handwritten by the leader of an assassin organization 'Killing Road'. It is some kind of collection. It says the history of the organization. It says how this organization is founded. The initial bid shall be 7 gold coins"

Lin Cian knew this was the product that Lu Cheng wanted to auction. Lin Cian asked him about his requirement and he said it was about 5 gold coins. Only by then did Lin Cian know the seriousness of the situation. So he decided anyone can own it but if the price drops below 5 gold coins then he will own it. Because the letter is of no use for him so he decided not to lose money if someone could get it.

As the price dropped over time Lu Cheng became more anxious. The fear and sadness covered his face. When the price dropped to five a young male voice was heard

'mine'

A young man with a skinny body wearing a black robe raised his hand and looked at the manager. The manager immediately declared

"Congratulations young man. The lot is yours"

After the auction is over Lin Cian went to pay and get his items. He had spent more than 10 gold coins in a single day. It was from what his father gave him. Lin Cian was somehow fixed to only getting the salary of a servant for a few years. As the heir to the family, he should be getting 5 gold coins per month. So his father stored his share in the ring which will be useful for him.

When he went to collect and pay for his purchase Lu Cheng came to him and bowed in respect.

"Sir I am Lu Cheng. Thank you for today. I will never forget this" Lu Cheng is not stupid. He knew Lin Cian purposely bought his lot for 5 gold coins. So he cupped his hands and bowed before saying those words.

"Please don't say those words. From the conversation, I heard that she is a doctor. As a doctor, she should have saved many lives. Let me repay her kindness on behalf of others" as the words flow out of Lin Cian's mouth he smiled gracefully. Lu Cheng saw him with a thankful heart.

After he completed his task in the auction house he marched his sore legs towards the blacksmith which is a few kilometers away from the auction house.

After he walked for a few kilometers suddenly the place filled with smoke. Lin Cian activated his 'Demons gaze' only to find out some mortal rank cultivators were trying to mess with him.

Someone spoke from around "Yo, seems we have surrounded the golden egg-laying hen"
