Mariela's POV
I woke up due to the call of nature, and I realized it was still six o'clock in the morning, but I didn't move because Archer's hands were still around me, and my head was on his chest, and I didn't want to change positions because I couldn't deny I loved it even if I knew he was only doing this. After all, he was drunk, and I was on cloud nine, and I drifted back to sleep with a smile on my face.
But when I woke again, my husband was not sleeping beside me anymore, and the bed suddenly felt empty without him by my side; I got up from the bed and glanced at the clock on the wall. I almost jumped to my feet when I realized it was nearly eleven o'clock in the morning.
I didn't expect I oversleep, but, understandably, we arrived late, and Archer didn't return to his room immediately; plus, his nearness made me feel so nervous when he lay beside me, and I found it so hard to sleep.
