Like A Mortal Sin

Mariela's POV

I was sitting on the patio chair on the balcony of Archer's room, feeling the fresh air touching my skin, and I heard the horse's hooves, and I quickly stood up and stood near the railings. Then I saw Archer leading the way, and I watched Claudia riding her horse, trying to catch up with my boyfriend.

Then I saw his parents riding side by side, and they galloped into the fields, and I couldn't stop my heart from feeling hurt that Archer was having a ride with his ex and not me, but what could I do? I only became his girlfriend today. And I know his parents will never allow me to ride with them.

I didn't dare turn my head as I continued to look at them, and it has always been my wish to experience something like that. I planned to have horseback riding with Valerie on a ranch near our town, but we didn't get the chance because we got so busy after we graduated high school, and now I had tried riding a horse with Archer.
