Time For Blood

Luke stood while staring at the black plain looking ring on his finger. He remembered some RPG games had something called an inventory where he could store his equipment, especially those that couldn't be taken around with him like Blackburn's summoning ring.

'Store ring in inventory.' Luke thought as he looked down to the ring which instantly disappeared from his finger while the familiar white screen appeared before his eyes.

Inventory — Rank 1: (1/100)

[Stored <Advanced> Pet!]

Luke nodded to himself after confirming that it actually worked without problems. He then sat on the floor and began to inhale then exhale.

The black aura around him increased in size before shrinking, completely in sync with Luke's steady breathing. His internal energy was being polished as he remained in that state for hours.

After about twenty hours of continuous cultivation he opened his eyes slowly to look at us body. He was shocked to meet a golden screen glaring at his face.

Internal Energy - Second Stage: Learned!

Strength +1

Speed +1

Luke was dumbstruck as he read the message before him. He was already faster than a normal human with just <0.5> speed attribute, but what if his speed attribute could get up to hundred?

What if all of his attributes were a hundred?

Luke thought it was impossible for a strange system to affect his body, but what if it could?! He would then have the most powerful power to rule the entire elven continents.

Luke was still immersed in deep thoughts until when he heard several knocks on the door. He instantly rose up and patted away the dust that somehow found it's way on to his clothes.

He walked to the door, and drew it open to find his mother staring down on him with a worried expression on her face. Her hands were in her pockets while her eyes were glowing slightly.

"Mother, are you okay?" Luke said as he edged closer to his mother and tugged on her pants. Despite seeing more death than a normal child should have seen before being reincarnated, Luke was atlas still a child who was getting accustomed to the world before his life was snatched away from him.

"What kind of team have you made your father arrange for just a single expedition? Don't tell me you're thinking of attacking a society of aggressive monsters with just a group of hunters?" Kate said with worry in her emerald eyes as she bent down to Luke and continued, "Why did you take a blood elf, and don't think of lying to me young man."

"I was planning on raiding a goblin settlement." Luke confessed as he saw his mother's glowing eyes. It was pointless arguing as his mother would just cast a <Mind Reading> spell upon me, and due to what happened in the room and the system, that would be a very bad thing.

"Eh?" Kate was baffled as she stared at her son's serious expression before looking at him with the word 'Seriously' boldly written on her face. "You were planning on raiding a settlement of GOBLINS! Have you gone mad!!!"

Luke shrunk back at the explosive character of his mother. He wanted to speak back, but anytime he opened his mouth, he would forget what he wanted to say.

It was an <Intermediate — Fading Thoughts> spell that rendered his ability to recount things useless leaving Luke with one choice that didn't require thinking...

Luke burst into tears as he uttered a wide cry that shook the heavens. His voice even reached Halifax who was snacking on a piece of cake.

Kate instantly shut her mouth as she saw her son crying. Instinctively she discarded her spells and began to pet him with guilt in her heart.

'Although he acts like a rebellious teen at times, he is still a four year old child.'

Luke didn't think his cry would be so chaotic to the extent someone fuming with anger was actually petting him to stop. His eyes were already red after crying for like five minutes non-stop.

Halifax had dropped his cake angrily as he strode off to meet his son who was making such a noise. Ignoring the cake icing on his face, he made his way to Luke's training room and casted a <Mute Dome> all over the area.

Luke saw a Halifax and ran towards him in a blink which made it look as if he just disappeared from his former position. Luke was astounded by the sudden boost in strength as he hugged Halifax's leg with all his might.

Ta Ta Ta Ta...

Halifax patted Luke's while glaring daggers at Kate who was tapping her feet against the ground impatiently. Her former calm and reserved motherly self shattered as she dashed towards Halifax.

Clap!

Halifax smiled half-heartedly with tears in his eye corners as he held the back of his head with a pained expression. He felt wronged as he held his gaze with Kate whose right hand was resting at the back of his own head.

"Halifax Xyner Arthur, how could you send your son with a blood elf into a goblin settlement that probably has if not two or more demons in their ranks!" Kate shouted as her eyes lit up in a green light almost instantly.

"Eh-hem! I didn't do that, and in my defence he won't be going in there with weaklings, he is going there with <Rank 5> warriors who had helped in the defeat of the demon overlord!" Halifax countered as he stomped his other feet on to the ground in anger.

(A/N: An Overlord is a title given to a being who has control over an entire armada. They are very powerful and intelligent compared to the common Lords. A demon overlord has control over a complete demon nest.)

Luke had enough, immediately after the tears stopped. He stormed off out of his training room feigning anger without looking back to his dumbfounded parents.

"I am going, no matter anything you say or do!" Luke shouts as he disappeared into the shadows with his eyes lowered to the ground.

Halifax puffed out his chest proudly as he looked on to the disappearing back of his son. He then looked back to his wife who was cracking her knuckles with a mad smile on her face, and only one thought crossed his mind...

'Scary women.'

Luke on the other hand had stormed into his room and slammed the door shut behind him. He slumped into his bed without thinking as he was drained from being up for so long.

He brought out the ring from his inventory, and slipped it into his finger. He began to think about the black dragon he saw earlier and as suspected a cloud of black energy swirled away before his eyes leaving behind the familiar black dragon.

Blackburn was now calmer than before with it's big eyes staring at Luke who tilts his head to the side. Blackburn tilts his head to the side with his fangs bared in a makeshift grin.

'It's more intelligent than I thought, maybe I could teach it the elven language I am learning?' Luke thought as he began to rub Blackburn on the head with a heartwarming smile on his face.

"How. Are... You?" Blackburn struggled to speak through his dragon mouth, but only managed to speak slowly due to his differing vocal cords.

"Fine." Luke waved before continuing, "You don't have to speak to me with your mouth though, or haven't you learned <Telepathy> yet?"

Blackburn shook his head before imitating a human pout. After seconds of staring sideways, Blackburn snorts as a screen appeared before Luke.

Name: Blackburn

Race: Black Dragon

Attributes - Locked

Race Skills:

Telepathy — Rank 0

Flight — Rank 0

Transformation – Rank 0

Luke looked at the black dragon and then at the words on the screen before shaking his head solemnly.

What did I expect? A supernatural beast with perverted abilities?! It's just a newborn dragon, and it still has to grow...

Just like me.

Luke place Blackburn into his inventory as he laid back unto the bed. Covering up his body under the blanket, he fell asleep with a smile on his face.

The next morning, Luke woke up with his hair ruffled alongside the bed. He looked down to his bed with weary eyes before yawning loudly.

He then jumped off his bed instantly as he stretched his body. Suddenly he remembered that he was going to the village today, and dashed into his dressing room where he changed into his formal elven warrior clothing.

His eyes wandered to the side were he spots his black sword laying on a wooden desk at the edge of the room.

Weapon: Dark Sabre

Rank: Advanced

Effect: Instantly Kill Basic Demons

Attack: 1 - 3

Strength +15

Luke picked up the sword with a smile on his face as he ran his fingers along the blade which had various runic words engraved into it. A dark killing aura coated the sword's blade trying to corrupt Luke, but was subdued by Luke's chaotic internal energy.

He strapped the sword to his waist and walked out of the room with his fake <Gaze Of Pride> activated as he made his way outside of the huge castle he lived in.

He looked directly at each and every one in his team. All of them stared back at him, wondering how such a young child could be so proud.

Hmm, despite having my faked <Gaze Of Pride> activated they could still stand there? Even if it wasn't the real deal it was definitely close to perfection. Well it seems my father picked the right team.

In the team was three males and two females. The team consisted of a mage, a knight, two archers and one summoner. Luke nodded as he hopped unto his head pony and rode out of the castle being followed by a hundred able guards and his team of warriors.

"Time for blood." Luke muttered as his eyes turned completely black, while a strange marking flickered in both of his eyes.
