Chapter 954: Unexpected

In Skeward Tower, Yusuf Zuck sat alone in the grand hall; at this moment, aside from him, the tower and even the streets outside were nearly deserted.

The reason was simple—today was the day of the Hero's Assembly. Many citizens of the spirit city and heroes from all over had gathered both inside and outside the venue of the assembly.

Yusuf Zuck had not gone to the site. In fact, his reason for staying behind was to continue waiting.

Fleur Carson hadn't come, nor had Sophia, Rachel Fournier, and others.

Intuitively, Yusuf Zuck felt they couldn't make it, or perhaps they were dead, or they too had ascended. Thus, he planned to wait another day and leave early the next morning.
