Ch 107 – Magic Circuits

(A Few Days Later)

Ugh, P.E is so fucking boring.

As I gaze at my other classmates running around an open field as a little competition, a track and field race if you will, I was instead wielding a wooden branch and writing strange symbols on the ground in the shadows.

"Shadow, earth, wood, stealth, lower presence, invisible. Okay, this rune sequence should do the trick," with mana funneling into the strange runes I wrote on the ground, the surrounding area around me started to change as I notice that no one seems to even look at the place I was crouching on which indicates my small rune sequence was a success.

"Sigh, I do wonder what's Issei's current state right now? I still remember him getting killed a few days ago by the same Fallen Angel and as I suspected, Rias did appear from the flyer and added Issei into her peerage, well, I should continue my experiments with infinite mana," with a flick, I appeared inside another parallel reality and teleported to the moon where I can safely use infinite mana without care.

With a swish, a metallic sword appeared in my right hand without any magical properties whatsoever.

"Okay, let's do a simple crescent beam first," with my hair turning pure white and void black along with my eyes, multiple connections in different realities appeared beside me and I felt it coursing through my body but this time I was more than accustomed to it and even felt it slowly making my body permanently stronger by incremental margins.

The first time I use this my body was in a large amount of pain even when I turned off my pain receptors due to my magic circles being damaged but now, I've already modified it to be able to handle the infinite mana coursing through my body.

And as mana funneled into the sword beside me, I swing it forwards to the void of space and saw a drastically large crescent beam being hundreds of kilometers long being sent outwards from the sword but in turn destroying it in the process.

"So pure mana attacks are easy to do enough, but spells have been particularly hard to do with the lack of control. It's because of this stupid magic circle, it's now a restraint for me instead of being a support. I really need to devise a new way I can store my mana, I don't even need the circle's help for my calculation because I can do it fine all alone and if I use my AI chip, then calculations are a breeze," with a dome of runes covering the area around me, I activated the rune sequence and out came a portal connecting to a certain room.

"The Magician Council's library of secrets where the most valuable of information a magician can have," I muttered as I appeared in a library I had access to since like last week and I've been reading books here for a past time.

I can't do the way devils nor angels store their energy because mana is different but I already do have some theories I can explore but I still need some more data to execute plan A.

With a quick flip to many books containing arcane secrets and powerful spells that could even be considered forbidden, I finally found it.

"Mana bla bla bla, magic circle because it can help store the mana efficiently and safely… it is like this because calculations… yep, it can work," with the quick read I did for the nth time to finalize my safety, I appeared back in the moon with closed eyes and peeked closely towards the mana circle in my chest.

"It's time to fuse magic with science, it's time to make magic circuits," with halted breaths, I started to contort the 4 magic circles located in my chest, this would have been bad for any other magicians because the magic circles can not only help them with the calculations, it can also help them enhance their body but for me, I'm well past beyond that point and now I need to gain better mana control.

My idea of magic circuits was made with the idea of incorporating the natural human body's veins with mana so I can safely incorporate the infinite mana into my system, and not only that, the problem of converting mana to other powers like Demonic Power can be solved by simply switching races and the mana would instantly transform into Demonic Power if I wish to do it.

So with careful control, I started to reshape how my mana was stored and connected it to my soul, and with caution, vein-like protrusions started to form all around my body and I let nature flow or let the soul flow and after a while, my magic circuits were made.

And the moment it finished, sweat trickled down from my forehead as cold mist was diffused from my mouth, showing how relieved I was at the experiment's success even with my lack of understanding of the soul though it is growing every day the more experiments I did just like this.

"It fucking worked, it fucking worked!" with a wide grin, I lay down on the rocky surface of the moon as the experiment further enhance my understanding of storing mana and the soul.

With this, I could later further evolve it into a better form but this is vastly superior to the magic circles I had before, like better physical enhancement!

As green like veins glowed all over my body, I expended a tiny bit of my mana to improve my strength by two-fold and as I funneled more mana to it, the physical enhancement it brought became greater and greater that with one kick to the ground a large crater ranging for tens of meters was made.

Not only that, I felt like my magical capabilities has risen through the roof and the moment I used a tiny bit of mana to make a fireball spell, I felt like something enhanced the spell, and out came a larger fireball than usual.

Must be because of the way the magic circuits were structured, but with this, it's time to test out how it will interact with my infinite mana.

Like last time, my hair and eyes turned half pure white and half void black as connections between parallel realities converged with infinite mana appearing all around me as I set the destination into my magic circuits and somehow, it worked out fine!

In fact, the limit that I could store is more than when I had 4 magic circles inside me and slowly, more veins started to be created by my soul!

Oh, how great it felt, now I don't even need to slowly gather the mana and form more magic circles, it just does it on its own!

Though it was drastically slower, it's automatic so ay!

"Ddraig! Wake up! I've discovered something new!" I shouted in excitement like a child showing his artwork to his father.

[H- huh? How long was I asleep?] said Ddraig with a groggy voice.

"You've been asleep for nearly 3 days but enough about that! I've basically revamped my magic system! Now instead of magic circles, I transformed them into these magical veins automatically made by my soul! Do you know what that means when I can have infinite mana whenever I want!" I shouted as my circuits glowed once more to show it to Ddraig.

[You mean you can grow stronger without doing anything?]

"YES!" I shouted as I showed him in real-time how one more circuit was being made.

[So a normal Monday? When are you going to change it into something similar to a nuclear power plant for mana anyway?]

"Hey, it's not that easy Ddraig, but I'll probably achieve that in a few months to a year," I said while multiple runes appeared in the air, and out came a screen that shows my current mana amount is the same as an Ultimate Class Devil or Tier 5!

"OHOHOHO! My genius is unrivaled indeed! I've already reached Ultimate Class in less than a year, I'm truly a GOD!" I shouted with my nose pointing to the sky.

[Well goodnight, I'm back off to dreamland.] and there goes Ddraig back again to sleep.

With a shake of my head, I slowly funneled all of the mana in my circuits to form a simple runic formula spell.

Use the moon as the foundation, water as the controller, so with a clasp of my hands, a magic circle appeared high above the air with the color red, and with a stomp to the ground, a yellow magic circle envelops the area around me as a blue magic circle was overlayed below the yellow one.

Earth empowers water, water controls fire, two opposing forces of hot and cold are conjoined to this one spell!

"Iridescent Rainbow!" with one cast, a rainbow went to appear high in the sky and the moment it hit the ground, a loud explosion was heard and the moment the light was dispelled, I teleported high above the air to see a gigantic hole possibly being as deep as hundreds to thousands of kilometers along with the edges being a chaos of colors from the rainbow.

"Welp, that was a ginormous success!" with the experiments done for today, I went back to my original universe to the spot I was in previously to see that P.E is about to end.

(A Few Hours Later)

Inside a high-tech lab was a vial of liquid alongside multiple plants in a pot sitting beside me.

"Okay, theoretically, it should make this potato grow 100x faster and bigger, so I'll just go outside real quick and see the effects," within an instant, I found myself in an open field of grass with a potted potato resting on my right hand.

[So, you're going to start that world-ending project of yours?]

"I'm just going to try a prototype later, the final product is still far away due to many unsolved factors like quick mana access, mana absorption, etc. But the size factor should be solved if this works," as I took the potato out of the ground and chop it into multiple bits, I dug some dirt out of the ground and threw the potatoes far away from each other and covered them in dirt.

[So that's the concoction?]

"Yeah, a diluted concoction, the real one is a lot more potent and unstable, but I should be able to fix it tomorrow and start the experiment in A-4," with a quick dose on each of them, I flew high into the sky while a camera appeared right beside me to record the experiment.

And as we watch with intrigued eyes, the ground soon started to shake as we saw brown-like protrusions erupting from the ground and after a few minutes, gigantic potatoes were fully grown in the matter of minutes the size of meters in diameter.

"Times 10 that bad boy and we get 60-meter potatoes, but I could make it bigger if I modify the DNA for a bit, so a World Tree is feasible in theory if I just further modify the tree to gather a world's mana for me but absorbing it is another thing, I don't even know what I could use it for really, but eh, why not, am I right Ddraig?" I said, not even caring if billions of lives will die due to a silly little experiment of mine that involves growing a world tree for a world's mana when I have access to an infinite amount of mana already.

[Yeah, but I'm off to sleep again, this science stuff is really boring you know. But how is the progress with your Mechanical God Version 5?]

"It's almost done, but the World Tree might be a useful material to make Mechanical God Version 6, who knows, you might even become a World Tree yourself once you absorb version 6," with a yawn, I left the potatoes to do their own thing because this is just another disposable parallel reality in the end.

But I'm pretty sure the potatoes would start to spread their modified DNA and make the world overgrown with large plants, I wonder if it might even make a World Potato? It's surprisingly feasible due to how unstable and wild the concoction is, I wonder what it would taste like. Potatoes are S tier in my opinion so I do hope it does work.
