Chapter 70

Watching the movie together with my androids helped lull me into a decent sleep until the shifting of our makeshift bed became too much for my sleeping mind to ignore and I groaned as my androids giggled at my pitiful display of a human clinging to his sleep.

"Jake, the fabricators are here outside the bunker." White cajoled gently shaking the sleep from me.

"You take it to Remnant... And make me some pancakes while you are at it." I grumbled as I buried my face into my pillow not wanting to disturb my nap as my regimented schedule being a part of Beacon definitely was still new to me.

But finally White got my grumpy butt up and ready to go with some candied apple slices as that was the most sugary foods, we could make without the previous human industries. To wash down that snack of champions I popped up a can of Remnants soda and cringed as I realized something terrible.

When I got this mystery fruit drink with several fruits on its label, I assumed it would be watermelon or maybe even orange which would be perfectly fine. Nope, I got a grape drink.

"Why do you look like you are drinking medicine or something, if it's so bad then stop drinking it?" 9S chuckled seeing my scrunched-up face but I shook my head.

"Nines as a human man once we open a canned drink there's two reasons, we don't want to waste it. First, we bought it so we don't want to waste the money and secondly men are too lazy to walk all the way into the kitchen to dump the can into the sink."

9S's head perked to the side as she innocently spoke. "Then just ask one of us to do it. We would happily do almost anything you ask."

My face couldn't help but twitch at the thought of Weiss hearing her body double saying how she would happily basically be my maid or something.

"Alright let's get this show on the road," A2 said as she helped me bind the small suitcase-sized mini fabricators onto my back putting a couple of heavy-as-hell memory drives in the side pockets of my jacket as we began gathering all the stuff.

"Why do we need these memory drives," I grumbled as the weight of all this stuff was almost making me hunch over.

It was 60 the Operator Unit I had a good time within the space station and hearing my grumbles as she walked into my vault spoke out. "Those memory drives are extremely important as they carry the data to create YoRHa quality androids and our armaments. Obviously, we cannot rely on you to ferry all of us to the world so we shall be instead downloading our minds into a separate server for you to have to make only one trip to and we will simply have new bodies made on that world."

I mean I didn't mind ferrying the androids that frankly, I had been sleeping with, but yeah having to make hundreds if not thousands of trips to the ferry at best like six androids at a time would be a chore that would extend past my lifetime.

Along with all this stuff I also was bringing the androids that were decided to go with me in order to set up our forward operating base in the Forever Fall Forest.

The journey thankfully went smoothly with my Guardians' much stronger influence blocking off the dimensional tearing that hugged so close to me last time, so all the materials and Androids were able to follow me into Remnant without any issues bar one small oddity.

They couldn't see the world doors, for either the world of Remnant or the world of Nier Automata.

"How did we literally walk from one world to another in five minutes? It makes no sense!" 9S grumbled as she massaged her head at the obvious logic errors she was facing it was plainly obvious, that we were in a new world as the very prominent partially broken moon above us was perfect proof.

Looking around the small copse of trees a decent distance away from Beacon's landing zone I then took out and powered back on my Scroll to see if my team had messaged me. And oh boy had they.

Weiss- 12:45 PM Jake, I was curious as to what time you would be back if you had any idea.

Weiss- 2:04 It's been more than an hour since I texted and just wanted to make sure you were currently alright.

Weiss- 6:30 I have texted several times and even called to no avail along with our friends attempting to contact you, I will be informing Miss Goodwitch to inquire as to your position in case you are in trouble.

I had literally thirty-plus missed text messages, and more than two dozen missed calls, and seeing a Beacon school promptly displayed on my Scroll from Miss Goodwitch basically ordering me to call her once I see this I quickly did it,

"I can't believe I have forgotten how touchy human girls about missing text messages can be..." I grumbled as my scroll began dialing Miss Goodwitch on a video call.

"About time Mr. Barris, Mrs Schnee is actually here hounding me once again to put out a city alert for you!" Goodwitch snapped before she blinked in surprise seeing my androids and 'Weiss' who was just beside me and as Weiss walked behind Goodwitchs desk to see what surprised her so much and I saw her freeze at the sight of 9S beside me I coudnt help but troll.

"What do you mean? I have been with Weiss all day as she was waiting for me at the landing pad to go out for our date and that's why I had my scroll off so we wouldn't be disturbed?" I said looking completely confused as I pretended to look back and forth between my 'Weiss' and the Weiss Schnee in the video call.

"Wow Weiss I didnt know you had a sister?" I said in confusion to my Nines and she understanding what I was doing nodded with a bit of confusion before she shrugged. "I must say Winter has changed since her breast reduction surgery... Don't worry Winter, I still love you!"
