Chapter 50

I rolled to the side and laid beside Melanie with Miltia grumbling as she rolled onto her side and wrapped an arm over my chest as her sister did the same on my other side.

In the comfort of the two twins, I soon fell asleep tired from both the stress of the world travel as well as how comfortable it was to have actual humans lying against me despite how awesome the androids from Nier were. They didn't really do body heat so it could feel a bit weird cuddling with a lukewarm body that would just absorb my body heat.

-

I was awoken by Miltia snickering at her sister as they had both managed to slip on some nice nightgowns when I was sleeping and were currently just whispering as they lay on either side of me.

I stretched and yawned making them both giggle as the blanket fell down my bare chest. "Yeah yeah. Laugh it up, I bet you are both just oh so beautiful in the morning..." I prodded making the girls give me a light glare before just pinching me.

"Oh no. The tickle demons of doom. Whatever shall I do?" I said dramatically putting a hand to my head as though I was about to faint.

After a bit more fooling around I finally got dressed up and all three of us both went out into the VIP lounge to eat some eggs and greasy bacon. But as we were eating, I noticed some other people staggering out of some other rooms clearly drunk from the night's activities, and began to notice an odd trend.

"Was last night, a girl's night out or something?" I asked seeing the majority of the people coming out of the rooms were ladies and the occasional man staggering out of the nursing a hangover came out with plural ladies of their own.

"Oh yeah! I was meaning to ask, what are the gender rates of the town or village you came from?" Miltia asked me excitedly.

I paused unsure as to what she meant so I just shrugged giving a noncommittal answer. "Hmm, I am not too sure, pretty common rates I imagine."

"Well here in Vale due to the normally slightly higher female-to-male birth ratio and the last Great War and the Faunus Civil War that killed off a great number of men, we are still sitting at around one man for three or four women depending on where you are.

I nodded and that kind of explained the team compositions at Beacon a bit but either way, I had a more important question. "That's about the same from where I am from, oh and by the way do you know when Beacon's recruitment is?"

My face couldn't help but twitch when she said that Beacon's recruitment was literally tomorrow but thankfully with the transcripts I got, I was registered as a graduate to one of the less-known trade schools that had a Hunting class and I decided to throw away my civilian life to become a hunter according to my paperwork...

"I can't help but feel like this makes me out to be some kind of deadweight should my team members read this," I muttered with a grimace.

Malenia nodded to my words solemnly speaking. "That's kind of the point... Most teenagers who buy illegal transcripts to a hunters academy come from typically criminal backgrounds and have spotty training with said training focused on fighting humans rather than Grimm."

"Even though Hunter and Huntresses' main jobs are to eradicate Grimm outside the city and reinforce the farming towns surrounding the kingdom, a solid quarter of their jobs are to cleanse bandits that leave survivors in their raids and come down like the hammer of the brother gods on any gangs or groups that attempt to harm the stability of the kingdom." Miltia shuddered and I realized this Remnant probably wasn't so stupidly incompetent and allowing Cinder and her cronies to upend the entire kingdom with half a dozen people.

"So, anything I should know about Beacon that may not be common knowledge?" I asked as I nursed on my coffee. God, I cannot describe how nice it is to have fresh coffee made out of freshly ground coffee beans and not that stupid freeze-dried stuff that was already a couple of years old that was just sitting around my bunker.

Both of the twins hummed in thought before retelling me the dangers of the initiation test to join Beacon and a little note that Beacon would provide me a huntsman-grade Scroll. Scrolls were the local holographic smartphones, but it was a Nintendo Switch without the physical screen and instead between the controller pieces there was a hard light screen that would sprout between the remotes when opened hence the name -Scroll.

"Alright thank you both for the wonderful night but I need to get myself situated and ready to get to Beacon bright and early in the morning," I spoke giving both the twins a hug and taking both of their scroll numbers down before I left the club.

I sat down in the park across the street from the hangar bay where the bullheads would take me to Beacon first thing in the morning but I didn't just decide to camp out here in the park for nothing.

I first raised a small wooden wall out of the roots crossing through the thick forest floor as well as raised a smooth wooden floor and began meditating in the relative silence that the park offered me as Junior's Club certainly wouldn't provide me the environment I needed to experiment and strengthen the connection me and my Guardian so I could finally bring YoRHa or more specifically my Androids here.

It would be a decade of effort at minimum for me to figure out how to open a massive portal that could allow decent amounts of Android troops to ferry themselves to and from the Nier Automata, Earth to Remnant, but I feel it's possible the great minds could be able to either make a mega data bank that could hold the consciousness's of YoRHa Androids and after some time we could remake the YoRHa space station which would free of the machinations of the Grimm and the local Government's allowing us to easily mine the surrounding space for materials.

Looking up I wryly smiled seeing the shattered moon muttering. "And there's a shattered moon with plenty of space debris to shift through for materials."

As I gradually strengthened my connection my Guardian and the day passed by in a daze, I gave myself a goal of spending a month within Beacon getting as strong as I could before I attempted to go back to YoRHa and give them the goal of making something that could hold the consciousness's of the YoRHa androids and I could carry Pod's back to Remnant to begin building YoRHa's infrastructure even under the mountain Beacon laid upon.

When the afternoon rolled around, I was already exhausted from meditating and my mind/soul seemed stretched to its limits from using my Guardian all day, so I just ate some rations and sipped some water before throwing a little tent up and preparing to sleep the afternoon and night away so I will awaken early.

"To Beacon, I go...." I muttered with a smile thinking how I could tease the main cast. Hell will be arriving in Beacon butterfly the events and Pyrrha not save Jaune from being catapulted off a cliff...

Meh, not my problem.
