Napoleon was in the palace that used to belong to the Habsburg house, where its branch that controlled France used to live.

Now, since he had sent them away, that place belonged to him now. It was his new house, where almost nobody could disturb him.

Soon, Napoleon heard a knock on the door, which startled him a bit. Right after that, he stood up from the armchair where he was sitting, and put a wine of glass he was holding down on a table nearby.

Napoleon sighed softly. "Come in," he said.

Soon, the door opened, and a very beautiful girl could be seen on the other side of it.

"What do you need, Pauline?" Napoleon asked.

Pauline was one of Napoleon's sisters. She was only two years younger than him, and thus, they had grown to build a very friendly relationship.

Pauline hesitated a bit. "Napoleon, father would like to talk to you," she said.
