Chapter 57:Ka Refinement(Part4)

Yang Zhai threw the rocks into the Ice Fire. Both of the rocks were covered in the Hell Wood, therefore, when they were thrown into the fire, the Hell Wood caught the fire with an intensity that even the grass —that was thrown before it— did not burn with. Because the rocks were covered in the Hell Wood, they also began to burn instantly. Yang Zhai checked the other four rocks, just like he checked the two rocks before, to see if they were hard enough. He chose one out of the four and wrapped it in the Hell Wood as well. He then threw it into the fire as well. This rock also began to burn fiercely because of the Hell Wood.

Yang Zhai only needed three Rocky Wall stones in this refinement. He had bought six rocks to be careful. He used the three best rocks out of the six and stored the other three in the storage Ka. The stronger the Rocky Wall rock he used was, the better his Ka was going to be. Thus, he bought six rocks to choose the best rocks for refinement. He could only use three rocks, any more than that would only bring complicated problems in the refinement process. Thus, he only used three.

After waiting for five minutes, the rocks melted away and were also absorbed by the bodies. 

When Yang Zhai saw this, he noticed something. He saw that a Yellow wisp was exited from the boy's right leg. His expression turned serious after seeing this.

"This is unexpected. Could it be that the boy was trying to do something with his leg? Or… don't tell me!" Yang Zhai hurriedly turned his right arm into a wooden hand and soaked it in the Ice water before touching the boy's right leg. He then tore the upper side to the bottom hem of the boy's right leg clothes. He saw a tattoo of a starfish on the boy's right knee. When he saw this, he was impressed and stunned.

"As I thought." Yang Zhai hurriedly pulled a knife out of the Bloody-Storage Ka and slashed the boy's right knee, cutting it. He was holding it in his hand. 

Yang Zhai then looked at the boy's right leg, but the lower part of the right leg had disappeared, and the leg was bleeding profusely. He hurriedly pulled out a bandage from the Storage Ka and soaked it in the Ice-Fire water, before bandaging the boy's right leg. Yang Zhai did not want the boy to die before the refinement. When Yang Zhai was sure that the bleeding had stopped, he looked at his hand.

His hand was covered in blood, but Yang Zhai did not care about that. He kept on looking at the Patella that he had just cut. After a few seconds, he saw that the Patella began to writhe and began to change its shape. After a few minutes, it turned into a two inches Red-Starfish.

When Yang Zhai saw this, he smiled. His guess proved to be right. This two inches starfish was no ordinary starfish. It was an ancient Ka that had gone extinct. Yang Zhai did not expect to see it today. This starfish Ka was Rank 3 Ka. It had the ability to restore any part of one's body. Not just that, it was considered to be even more valuable than a Rank 4 Ka, as it was extremely difficult to find a Ka that could restore one's body part. In Rank 3 or 4, that could heal a person's body fully within a few hours.

Yang Zhai was not impressed because of this ability, but because it could replace even a person's vital organs, except for the brain and head. Even a heart could be replaced. Otherwise, there were many Kas that could heal a person. Yang Zhai had seen too many Kas in his previous lives, which were able to restore a person's whole body. But, this Ka was able to replace a person's body part within a few seconds. It was called by the world "Second-Life" Ka, as it could even be used to replace vital organs at a critical moment in life. 

"So, someone used the Second-Life Ka to restore the leg of this boy. I truly did not expect that this boy's leg was made of the Second-Life Ka. Thank goodness, I noticed right at the time; otherwise, I would have not only lost this important Ka, but the refinement process may have also failed." Yang Zhai saw that the Second-Life Ka was injured. It was because he had forcefully removed the Second Life Ka from the boy's leg. But, Yang Zhai was not at all sad or anxious because he had expected this outcome. And he was already happy that he obtained the Second-Life Ka.

He hurriedly put the Ka in his aperture, near the Aurora, and enslaved the Second-Life Ka. When he did that, he suddenly had a thought.

What would happen if I use the Aurora that I have as a material as well? Will something happen, or will the process fail? I also don't know about all characteristics of the Aurora as well, and according to my instincts, I can tell that nothing wrong will happen to the refinement of the Strength Ka. Maybe, I should try it, after all, I should check if this works or not.: Yang Zhai thought to himself.  Thus, he decided to use the Aurora as a refinement material of The Strength Ka as well.

Yang Zhai put his thoughts aside and began the refinement again. He began to place even more material in the fire. After around two to three hours, Yang Zhai stopped. He then released the aura of the Aurora toward the Ice Fire and toward the bodies of the two kids, who were lying unconscious on the ground.

As the Aurora was sealed, Yang Zhai could only unleash a little of its aura, which was not even one percent of the total. Yang Zhai was sure of one thing, and that was that the moment this Aurora was unsealed, only its aura would be enough to shake the lands and mountains. As Yang Zhai's soul was linked with the Aurora, he could tell that this Aurora was holding a power so great that even he could not comprehend it. 

The aura that he emitted from the Aurora began to merge with the Ice Fire, and then it also started to flow into the bodies of the boy and the girl. This aura was from the Aurora and as the Aurora was linked with Yang Zhai's soul, this aura was basically Yang Zhai's, and it listened to him completely. Therefore, it only combined with the bodies as a material and didn't give the boy and the girl any benefit or opposed the other forces in the body, it combined with the other materials with the accord.

This aura was the second last material he added. In fact, this aura was only a last-minute entry, before this, he had not even thought of adding the Aurora as a material. It was only after he used it to enslave the Second Life Ka, did he think of adding the Aurora as a material. 

After he added Aurora's aura into the refinement process, there was only one material left and that was the bodies of the boy and the girl. As for the souls, they would both combine automatically and be refined into a soul that would be free from impurities, and their memories and consciousness would be erased. Instead, a new consciousness that will purely belong to the Strength Ka would appear. 

Therefore, Yang Zhai used the Dug-Worm Ka and made a pit near the pit that was dug before. This pit was deeper than the pit that was dug before, as it was three feet deep and three meters wide in width and length. Then, Yang Zhai connected the two pits with a small ditch.

The water of the Ice-Fire cubes began to flow from the first pit into the second pit because the second pit was deeper than the first. And the ditch that Yang Zhai had dug to connect the two pits was also sloping down from the first pit toward the second pit. Because of this, all of the water began to flow into the second pit.

Even after the first pit was drained of water, the bodies of the boy and the girl didn't burn because both of them were still wet.

Yang Zhai again soaked his arms into the water of the Ice Fire. Even though his arms felt cold, he endured it. Then he carefully went closer to the boy and the girl. He was being cautious of the fire of the Ice Fire so that the fire couldn't touch the parts of his body that were not soaked in the water.

Yang Zhai removed the robes of the boy and the girl, then threw these robes aside. Clothes always take time to dry, but the water on the skin would only take a few minutes to dry.

Thus, Yang Zhai only needed to wait for their bodies to start burning now. 

After a few minutes, Yang Zhai noticed that the bodies of the boy and the girl were burning and becoming smaller. It was because their bodies were also being used as a material now. Yang Zhai suddenly felt something strange, but could not understand what was strange. But, he got an instinct that he should activate the aura of the Aurora, and he did just that. Yang Zhai released the aura in the surroundings and saw that two souls, which looked like the boy and the girl were writhing in pain. They were being forcefully combined together, and their souls were deforming again and again into different forms.

It was not possible for a normal human to see the souls without the help of the cultivation methods. But Yang Zhai understood the reason why he was able to see the souls of the boy and the girl. He knew that it was because he had mixed the aura of the Aurora into the refinement process as a refinement material and as the souls of the boy and the girl were also used in the refinement procedure, the aura and the souls were mixed together. And as such, as he released the aura into the air, he was able to see the souls of the two kids, because their souls also contained the aura of the Aurora.

Yang Zhai suddenly had a thought. He tried to control the souls and to his surprise, he was able to control them. He forced both of the souls to combine with each other peacefully. Both of the souls had already been cleared of the impurities, therefore he didn't need to worry if these souls were incompatible with each other.

After a few minutes,

Both the bodies and the souls suddenly disappeared and a blinding white light appeared. When the light disappeared, Yang Zhai saw a Ka floating in the air.
