Ungrateful children

The ship docked at the Restaurant, Thirteen got up and stretched his body before he heard a voice from another ship, "Hey, are you guys pirates?" Thirteen turned to look and it was a marine ship.

Luffy beat him to the punch and nodded saying "Yeah! Painted my flag a few days ago actually!" the man, who had pink hair, sneered and replied "You don't look like much to me. Sink their ship." before turning around, but as he was about to walk away, one of the kids shouted "Save me! These pirates kidnapped us! Also, there's the Half-breed slave on this ship!"

The man turned around and looked at the group of kids that were clearly not in danger, he ignored that and turned his attention to Thirteen. He snapped his fingers and another Marine brought him a book, the man flipped the pages before his eyes popped out of his sockets and he shouted "450 MILLION?!"

The man snapped the book shut and tossed it behind him as he shouted happily "Grab the kids and capture that Slave! Haha! It's my lucky day!" As he spoke, boards slammed down on the Merry's railing while marines flooded from the ship, running towards the kids and Thirteen.

Luffy moved, but Zoro stopped him and smirked, "I don't think he needs help." Luffy stopped and grinned as Thirteen shook his arms, unfurling his chains as the marines approached him.

He looked at Luffy and turned back to the marines who were charging at him. He crouched and pounced forward, he whipped his chains forward before pulling back and shooting towards a marine, thrusting his palm forward, blasting the man's head to pieces.

He then jumped off the marine and lept to another one, slashing down with his chain at his sides as he stomped on a marine's chest, piercing right through it and landing on a board connecting the two ships.

Thirteen swung his leg and threw the marine into a group, pulling his gun back with his chains before unloading the gun into the group. He jumped in the air and turned his head to the marine who just shot at him, the marine turned white and Thirteen swung his chain in the air before whipping it at the marine, hardening it at the tip for a second as it blew the marine's head to bits.

He landed back on the boards in a crouched position with his hands on the plank, staring at the marines. They looked at each other and ran back to their ship with the kids, screaming "Monster! SAVE ME!"

Thirteen licked his hand before jumping back to the Merry and swinging his chains around his arms, locking them back in place. He looked at the deck and said "Sorry." as he pointed at a little puddle of blood.

Nami was throwing up off the side of the Merry, Usopp had already fainted, while Luffy stared at Thirteen with shining eyes, and Zoro had a thoughtful look on his face. Thirteen nodded at them before wiping the deck with his shirt, soaking up the blood.

The man on the marine ship returned to the earth and shouted in horror "FIRE! F-FIRE THE CANNONS! NOW!" Without pause cannons were fired, heading straight for Thirteen, who got up and crossed his arms in front of him while hardening them.

He closed his eyes and sighed to himself, worst case scenario he gets blasted to pieces or blown into the sea. The last thing he wanted was Luffy's ship getting destroyed. He heard explosions but never felt anything, he couldn't believe that his defense was so good.

Then he thought, what about the ship?!

Opening his eyes, he saw a scene that would stay with him forever, Luffy was standing in front of him with a grin on his face. Thirteen couldn't believe his eyes and asked in a rough voice "Why." Luffy chuckled and said "You're my friend!"

It was like throwing an atom bomb in a lake.

Thirteen was stunned silly, what was a friend. How could they be friends? He was just a slave and a killer.

Unfortunately, one of the cannonballs flew into the Baratie, but everyone was more shocked at the fact that Cannonballs bounced off Luffy like they were nothing.

The kids shouted "What are you doing! That slave is still alive! He'll kill us!" The man roared "Shut up, kid! I know!" he nibbled on his nail and ordered "Fire again!" The marines were so stunned that only one responded and fired the cannon.

Though this time, Thirteen pushed Luffy out of the way and hardened his hands to the max, catching the cannonball and sliding across the deck, ripping up the skin on his feet due to the sheer concentration he put to using the power on his hands and arms.

He finally stopped just touching the railing of the Merry, before looking at the kids, his fingers dug into the metal cannonball and he roared as he threw the cannonball back at the marine ship.

The cannonball whistled through the air and smashed a huge hole in the ship, blowing the marines and kids everywhere, leaving a massive hole going through the ship and flying off into the sea before exploding.

Thirteen took deep breaths and walked to the front, looking at the swimming marines and kids as his eyes flashed red. Luffy tapped his shoulder and snapped him out of it. He turned to Luffy, who gave him a thumbs up.

Thirteen looked at Luffy with a blank stare before looking at the ground, thinking. Before he could collect his thoughts, a group of chefs ran out of the restaurant and shouted "Who blew up our Restaurant?!" Luffy raised his hand and opened his mouth, but Thirteen beat him to it, saying "It was me." as he looked at the chefs.

They ran over and grabbed Thirteen before dragging him into the Baratie, saying "Our boss wants to see you, kid. You better be ready to pay!" The crew was stunned and looked at each other before leaving the Merry and walking towards the restaurant.

Luffy looked at the blood trails before Zoro called him and he ran after the group with a smile on his face, holding his hat on his head so it wouldn't fly off.
