Chapter 57: The cliché system update
Seiya came home after lunch with Utaha. Aisu and his father were both at home and when they saw Seiya being so cheery, they knew that the young man has finally ascended to adulthood.
Although he wanted to spend most of the time with her, he and his girlfriend knew that he had something waiting for him.
The reward from the last quest.
He was not hiding much from Utaha since she was already aware of many of his secrets but he didn't want to involve her too much.
"Let's see the reward," Seiya mumbled and opened the system panel.

"This is…" Seiya widened his eyes when he saw the system update. It was definitely the update he was looking for. He knew that with his system update, he could finally be able to learn Martial Arts or even magic.
First, he chose the first option.

At first, this world should be part of only one 'scenario' i.e Amagi Brilliant Park that the host is part of, along with some minor non-interconnected 'scenarios' but a certain dickhead vampire wizard tried to look for other dimensions that created a dimensional rift and changed the world setting.
Now, not only the supernatural has become an oblivious part of this world but this world is also exposed to many other dangers.
Foreign Gods and other mythical beings are now aware of this world's existence. How they will invade this world and when they start is still unknown.
Any further discovery lies on the host's ability to move forward.]
"Well, sh*t." Seiya groaned and rubbed his eyes.
He knew that this world is a little bizarre and was out of place. He finally got to know that it was the mistake of an old man carrying the world traveling magic.
What was his name again? He can't remember since he only heard his name once and didn't know how to pronounce it.
For more information, he could only rely on Yoruichi and her secrets to know more but first, he needed the new update.
[The update will change many aspects of the system such as some new additions and requirements to update abilities and skills. The host is advised to upgrade every skill to the maximum level.]
Seiya nodded and without waiting any further, he started to invest in every single skill.

Seiya felt a surge of current in his body. None of his stats increased but the information he received nearly made him faint. If not for his mental resistance, he would have passed out.
Except for Taste Resistance, he upgraded every skill to an invincible level. He was not sure if increasing such resistance would affect his daily life. Just think if he can't even enjoy Shiro's cooking because of such resistance.
Anyway, the rest of the skills didn't affect him much such as skills like Story Telling or Hand Sign Language. They are hardly the same at both levels.
So after that, he accepted the system update reward.

Seiya thought that it would take a day or an hour for the update but it didn't even take a minute.

He didn't know if he should be happy because now he had some new parameters and abilities or sad that the leveling system has changed to alphabetical ranks and the price to change their ranks has changed too.

It is a blessing by the Goddess Venus.
Venus was the goddess of Roman Mythology with her counterpart being Aphrodite.
The blessing works better if the host is female. It further helps any girl who falls in love with Host to become more beautiful cleanse them from evil and impurities. It also helps girls evolve with the host and shared host's attributes. The host could also gain skills or abilities should you make love with the girl who loves the host.
It is also containing the core of Planet Venus hence it also grants the Fire element.]
[Maple Princess (Half)
It is a blessing by the fairy princess Latifa Fleuranza.
Through the magic ability of the fairy princess, it grants you the natural skill to read the minds of people.]
"So that's why Utaha seemed different…"
Seiya was wondering why Utaha changed so much. She not only became more beautiful and stronger but she also became much thoughtful and active about his relationship. He didn't know if it was because of this blessing.
As for Latifa, he felt bad for abandoning the girl who blessed him. When he was a child, he did visit the part and promised the princess to make her smile but then he completely forgot her.
He thought that he should talk with the denizens of Amaburi before deciding to run the park.
Then it was about magic. He didn't know how strong his magic stats are, as compared to other known magicians of this world since he was a total greenhorn when it comes to this kind of thing. He will talk to Yoruichi.
Then about the new ranking system, Seiya bit his lips when he saw their leveling part and how absurd the prices are to level his skills.

Seiya was pretty surprised after reading the ranking system. Because of the involvement of Magic and Martial art, even the invincible level is lying on Rank C which, although seemed low at first glance, is actually pretty strong.
The price to invest in them also increased.

"Bloody hell!!" Seya groaned and greeted his teeth.
The points are absurd to earn. From the mission, he could hardly earn a thousand points let alone points in 5 digits.
Moreover, the [+] option wasn't even available for him to invest these points. He knew that some other kind of fu*kery is required for that.
Well, at least there is a breakthrough for his bottleneck situation. The best he could do is to accept as many missions as possible and grind points.
"Time to meet her." Seiya got up from his bed and rushed out of his room. He also called the cat girl to meet him as it was a holiday.
Although he usually takes breaks on holidays, he wants to know more about her and this world.
After a few minutes of riding his bicycle, he arrived at the gate of the abandoned hospital. There he detected Yoruichi looking at him with stern eyes.
"Say, Seiya Kanie, why do you want to die so much?"
Her words were heavy and Seiya knew that she was generally pissed.
"I have no such intention," Seiya answered calmly. Again thanks to Mental Resistance, he didn't stutter or he would have melted just from her fierce gaze.
"Then tell me, why did you dive to the unknown even after I warned you? And how did you even learn magic?"
This time, Seiya knew that he was fu*ked up. Whenever Seiya asked about magic or mysteries of the world, Yoruichi always warned him not to ask about magic and supernatural, saying that it is highly dangerous and a person with good ambitions, Seiya shouldn't poke his tail where it can be torn into pieces.
She must have sensed the supernatural attributes from Seiya given he even had blessings of a goddess and a fairy.
"He, he, he, well… many things happened like this and that…" Seiya awkwardly laughed since he didn't know how to face such a fierce thunder goddess. He then rolled his eyes and looked at her, "What if I tell you that I was taking a crap in the toilet and was about to go Super Saiyan when I awakened magic."
"…" Yoruichi was speechless before she started to crack her knuckle and walk towards her student.
(AN: I apologize to those who were looking for a light slight of life kind of novel. Although I added magic into the system, I wont be making this fi focused on the supernatural and fights.)
