"That's Blaze Black Flare…and Delete field!" Azazel outright gaped at the Scottish teen, "But how did you get two Sacred Gears? Never mind Delete Field, it was out of the Sacred Gear system already and in our possession!"
"Scotland gave it to me." he shrugged.
"..Scotland? The country? You know, you've been spouting about that place a lot kid," Azazel shook his head before pursing his lips in thought, "Do you mean the Celtic Pantheon? Why would they steal it though? They mostly keep to themselves and don't really care about anyone else these days."
"No, not the pantheon of my ancestor, Scotland itself gave it to me," Yarden corrected with a roll of his eyes, what was so hard to understand? "I was dying after being betrayed, Blaze Black Flare going out of control and going to kill me and I shouted to the sky, asking Scotland to share its strength with me and then I just had it." which was more or less the truth, beyond the former Yarden appearing, but he didn't need to know about that.
A complete confused look appeared on Azazel's face, "…You're claiming that Scotland, the country, is sentient and favours you?" he asked slowly, as if trying to understand.
"It is Scotland after all," Yarden shrugged, it was pretty obvious to him, "Personally, I think after he fell, Yahweh became one with the land of Scotland, and seeing his most favoured son in danger, he sent me Delete Field."
Azazel choked and outright gaped, wide eyed and open mouthed at him, "…What….no, what?" the fallen angels mouth opened and closed, multiple times as he tried to find words to speak, "…You're claiming pops is Scotland now, you're his favourite son and what…how can you even speak his name as a devil and not feel pain, the system should be zapping your brain silly right now."
"Why would the system of God hurt his most favourite son?" Yarden pointed out.
In response, Azazel fell totally silent and stared at him as if he were an alien.
It took a good few moments for Azazel to regain his mental faculties, "…Y'know, the craziest thing is, I've seen weirder over my life," he shook his head, "I can't even refute anything you said because as outlandish and crazy as all that is, it would fit for everything you said….though no idea why pops, that old prude would, if he even is part of Scotland…would fuse with Scotland of all places."
"That, I can't tell you the answer to," Yarden replied, "But really, why wouldn't he? If he had to choose a country, Scotland is the best choice as the greatest land on Earth."
"Since when?" Azazel arched an eyebrow at him.
"Since always?" Yarden pointed out the obvious, "But if you want some proof. Scotland is the most welcoming country in the world to outsiders, Scotland has been voted the most beautiful country in the world, Scottish men are voted for their big dicks and being incredibly vigorous lovers and the average cup size in Scotland is 34DD."
Azazel blinked at the random information barrage, "Huh, interesting, didn't know that, and I'm especially interested in that last part," he mused, before shrugging, "Well whatever, I don't really care if pops pulled a fast one and is chilling living it up as Scotland, right now I'm more interested in you kid. Two Sacred Gears huh? That's interesting, and both Vritra gears at that."
"I mean, is there any better Sacred Gear?" Yarden mused, "Vritra is the Scottish Dragon King after all."
"…What, no he isn't, Vritra's from that crazy Hindu Pantheon, since when was he Scottish?" Azazel was once again totally thrown out of his cool by the bombs being dropped on him.
"Since I woke up with this insane patriot," Vritra sighed, the gem on one of your gauntlets flashing, "Hello Azazel, it's been a while."
"Huh, Vritra, you're awake?!" Azazel's eyes widened in surprise, "How? With how many pieces you were split into, I didn't think just uniting two of them would be enough to bring you back, pops was real wary about you breaking out after all."
"Outlandish circumstances, with a man of your intelligence, I'm sure you've heard of them, the Khaos Brigade," Vritra replied, Azazel's eyes narrowing at the mention, "They have many grouped together within then, one of them known as the Hero Faction, a massive group of hero descendants that recruited my partner here because of his sheer potential and bloodline, being a descendant of not only William Wallace, but that of the Sun God Belenus."
"Huh, pretty impressive kid aren't you?" Azazel grinned at Yarden lightly, "But what's that got to do with you being awake? I'm assuming though these are the guys that betrayed Mr. Favourite Son of god here?"
'He said it, not me.' Yarden snickered.
'…You said it first idiot,' Vritra sighed internally, "More or less. But the reason itself I was awakened, was because the fools use pieces of the infinite to force their Balance Breakers, the massive infusion of power was enough to awaken me, though in a blind rage, and it was only the appearance of Delete Field that managed to let me regain my faculties."
"…I see, so the rumours I heard of Ophis being active are true," Azazel's sighed gravely, eyes narrowing, "This is good though, this is the first direct confirmation I've got of the existence of the Khaos Brigade."
Yarden rolled his eyes, "Yeah yeah, good for you, now hand over Shadow Prison will you?" he huffed, "I've got stuff to do, and really, it's Vritra's anyway."
"Rude," Azazel lost his grave expression and snorted in amusement, "And greedy as well aren't you my possible little pseudo brother? You know, back in my day we kids of God got our wings inked and booted out of heaven for stuff like that."
Hmm, little brother huh? Now that he mentioned it, the Fallen Angels and Angels picking fights with each other really did make sense to him now. After all, the greatest enemy and threat to a Scotsman, was another Scotsman.
So the Great War was of Scottish make all along then?
