The elevator doors opened on the 13th floor. Erlang left without even looking at Maura. The man walked quickly, as if certain that Maura would follow him.

They stopped at the door of one of the apartments at the far end. Erlang pressed his password, then told Maura to enter first.

"Want to drink?!" asked Erlang casually. The man opened the refrigerator and took several bottles of drinks that Maura did not recognize.

Maura immediately glanced quickly, she looked suspiciously at the man in front of her.

"Why? are you scared?"

Maura grimaced softly, "W-who's afraid." she chattered nervously.

Erlang shrugged nonchalantly, then placed the bottle on the table near the sofa. The man brought no glass. "You have a look of fear in your face," he chuckled softly.

'You crazy man, of course I'm scared!'
