Chapter 86- Addie – Laumont Part 1 Volume 4

***ADDIE'S POV***

Oh, how wrong I was. When I arrived in Laumont, I was in utter shock. The entire nation seemed different than I expected. Then again, given their focus at the academy, I shouldn't have been surprised at all.

Even just flying into Laumont I noticed a difference. The cities, all of them, looked like military fortresses. There seemed to be no homes or towns outside the cities. And even their farms were protected like fortresses. It just took me by surprise.

It appeared as if they took their military very seriously. Yes, the people I had met at the academy had mostly been very brawny rather than brainy, but I didn't think it was this bad in the nation itself. What happened here in the past to make this happen?
