**ADDIE'S POV**

The ball was a success, despite that awkwardness with Lavarion. He was a good guy about it in the end. He understood that it wasn't him personally that made me not like him. I was just already spoken for, and I was deeply in love with my fiancé. Whenever I thought of another man, I never thought about anything romantic. It was either familial or variations of friendships. Nolan was the only man that I had ever had thoughts and feelings like this before.

Well, the only man in this life anyway. I had other lives and other men, but in truth, even those men had been very much like Nolan in either attitude, appearance, or both. And to think that I would end up with a man that was this world's equivalent of him was just amazing.
