**NOLAN'S POV**

Addie had just left yesterday. Off on that little jaunt with her friends at the vacation home that Callum and Juliana never really used. I knew that she needed this time with them, to have some fun and exciting times with them, but I was already wishing that she was here with me.

I was currently in Callum's office with him. We were working on budget reports and other documents that were needed for the kingdom to function properly. Well, that was what we were supposed to be doing anyway. If only that were the truth of the matter.

"Why?" I said again for the umpteenth time in a row. I hadn't said more than that, just the lamenting question that seemed to be haunting me at the moment.

"If you say that one more time, I am going to kill you, or at least seriously hurt you." Callum's threating words were laced with laughter, sapping them of all their menace and turning them into a joke.
