**ADDIE'S POV**

Laughter was already sounding throughout the room as Violet and Ginger worked to prepare the tea for everyone. Nishi and Ramaya were placing all of the sweets from the basket on the table before stepping back against the wall to wait until they were called and needed.

Violet was going to be staying next to my chair, but Ginger was going to join the others at the far end of the room. They were all smiling, even though they were just watching us talking and having a good time like young women tend to do. Not that it was limited by age. I knew that women of all ages were capable of letting loose when they were with trusted friends like this.
