The Spell Part 1

**NOLAN'S POV**

Addie had been making a lot of progress over the last several days. She didn't know anything about crafting a new spell when we started all of this. I guess that when I was testing her abilities, I forgot to check whether she knew about creating magic.

As far as I could tell Addie, and all of the wolves that were noble rank or lower, just mimicked spells. They didn't create new spells of their own. Then again, now that I thought about it, most Royal wolves didn't make their own spells. It wasn't something that was taught to me in the academy, and it wasn't something that my family had taught me.

I learned spell crafting when I was a young man. Mostly, it came from reading old texts about the formation of the original spells. People thought that the magic we used everyday was limited and had reached its capacity. They didn't think that they could improve upon it or make anything that was new.
