Despairing And Work Again

**ADDIE'S POV**

I didn't expect everything that had happened today. I also didn't expect that the day would end so soon. It was only halfway through the day. Did he not like training me? Did he think of me as a burden?

Yeah, that was probably it. I was nothing but a nuisance to him. The only reason he asked me to work with him was because I was taken to see him by the king. And he must have known that it was the king's desire for me to work with him.

Though, I didn't know why King Callum would want me to work with Nolan. He hadn't even seen if we would get along with each other first. For all he knew we could have ended up hating each other. What would he have done then?

Then again, Nolan might hate me. Or at the very least, he doesn't like me all that much. I wanted to be able to help him with his work. I wanted to be able to learn from him and make tools to help my family. But unless he liked me, that would never happen.
