To My New Room, Again

"Your room is on the third floor, Miss Addie. I am sure that you will find the room to your liking. It was designed for a future daughter of Master Dominic. However, he has yet to start a family, so it is free for you to use."

"Are you sure that is wise? Should I really be using a room meant for the family that U..U..Uncle Dominic plans to have one day?" It was harder to say the words Uncle Dominic to someone other than Dominic. I didn't expect it to be like that.

"It is fine, Miss Addie. He has given his permission for you to stay in the room. Plus, if he were to ever have a daughter, it would be years before she would be staying in this room. There is plenty of time for it to be redone if you choose not to stay with us long term."

Violet was kind and confusing. I was still trying to figure things out and here she was talking about the future. Still, she was nice and was truly welcoming so far. I was happy about that. I didn't want to have a repeat of the other day.
