She was upset but she knew if they were to marry this would be a possibility. After all Qie Xieling from what she heard was from a brothel and knew how to seduce a man better than she did. As long as he was demoted to a concubine and she became the main wife she would be able to have power over Qie Xieling. 

"Chen-ge'' she said playing her part convincingly, acting pitifully in an attempt to garner sympathy. But Luo Muchen's gaze remained fixed on Qie Xieling, his eyes betraying a multitude of emotions that no one could decipher. Luo Muchen felt something was wrong.
