"Why?" one can understand if Olivia or Luna object since they didn't want Lucas to join the Hemsworth family soon, heck! even Lucas's objection could be understandable but her son's? Alex had never expected him to object.

Even Lucas was surprised. He had never thought Adrian would object to it.

"Why are you objecting? Aren't you excited to engage with Lucas?" Alex asked in confusion looking at her idiot son.

"Mom, it isn't the right time yet," Adrian didn't give the exact reason, he only vaguely reject the idea.

"Aunt, it will be Amelia's and Luna's birthday in 2 weeks and I don't want it to be spoiled just because of our engagement announcement," hearing Lucas's reason, Alex could only sigh and let the matter go.

She didn't want to spoil two little darling's birthdays for her son's engagement announcement and most importantly.... Alex wished Lucas to regain his memory before making this decision.
