Aurora groaned, stretching her body as she tiredly opened her eyes almost ready for the start of a brand new day. "Good morning Vincent," she patted right beside her on the bed only to find it empty.
A light breeze flowed through the opened window and sun rays made a path leading to the bed from the window.
"Vincent?" She sat up attempting to drive the remaining sleep out of her body by rubbing her eyes. Hearing no response, she figured he left her alone to go off to do some sort of work. "Great," she sighed, dropping back against the bed.
She touched the side of the bed Vincent slept on last night and found it to be cold meaning he had been gone for a while. "He could've woken me up before he left," she muttered.
Just as she said this, the door of Vincent's bedroom opened up. "I thought you could've done with a little more sleep before I came back with breakfast," he held the tray of food up higher for her to see.
