“We’re here.” Chloe said excitedly and Jane turned off the ignition.
Everyone stepped out of the car and grabbed their belongings.
“Bella, do you have my dress?” Jane asked.
“Yeah,” Bella responded without facing up.
“Let’s go Bella,” Carl said and started walking to the opposite direction.
“Wait, the bar is here. Where are you going?” Jane asked with a confused expression.
“Just check your phone Jane. I sent you many texts but you did not reply any of them. We’ll be right back.” Bella groaned.
“I’m coming with you.” Chloe interrupted.
“Whatever.” Bella rolled her eyes and walked off.
Silence filled the air except for the distant chirping of the birds and the music that played in the bar.
“Jane?” Dylan broke the silence.
“Hmn?” Jane turned to face him.
“Is anything wrong?”
“I don’t know.” Jane sighed. “Why are Chloe and Bella acting that way and what’s up with Carl?”
“Vivian punctured his car tyres so we all took a cab home. You know he doesn’t like that. Then, we told Bella to pick us up at that spot where you met us and we spent almost thirty minutes there so, Chloe is mad at Bella.”
“Oh… so, where did head to?”
“To book a room,” Dylan leaned on the car.
“A room,” Jane arched her brows. “Why would they do that?”
“Wait, don’t tell me you’re going back home tonight.”
“Well, of course I am.”
Dylan chuckled softly and turned to her.
“Not when you’re drunk, right?” he said to her and she became speechless.
“You can squat with Bella. Chloe and Carl are staying together.”
“And what about you?” asked Jane.
“I’m staying alone,” he answered. “Or will you stay with me?” A grin appeared on his face.
Jane pinched him hard and he whimpered.
“Ouch! That hurts. You could have just said no.” He laughed hard.
“Lan? What’s funny?” Carl interrupted the moment.
“Oh! You’re here.” Dylan turned to see Carl coming from behind with Bella and Chloe who seem to be in a chatty mood.
“Shall we?” Bella gestured and off they walk to the bar.
The music was booming a bit loud o the ear and Chloe suddenly started nodding her head, following the beats of the music.
“Chloe, are you hypnotized?” Jane said aloud and let out a laugh.
“I don’t know. I just find myself doing it.” Chloe replied and just then, Bella started moving her body. Jane soon followed while Carl rolled his eyes at them.
Bella took Jane’s hand and Jane grabbed Chloe’s arm as they danced backwards.
“We’ll be back. Make sure to prepare the place we’ll be using.” Bella yelled and they danced away in the crowd, heading to the washroom.
“Ladies” Dylan muttered.

Dylan rested his back against the soft chair in the private room he and Carl booked in the bar.
“Are you still brooding over what happened earlier?” Dylan spoke to Carl as they await the arrival of the girls.
“What does it seem like?” Carl raised a brow. “That Vivian is a bitch.” He cursed.
“Cool it dude,” Dylan laughed.
“She’s just a f-cking mofo.” Carl cursed again.
Dylan chortled and that was when Jane and the rest came in.
“Do we look funny?” Jane quirked her mouth up and Dylan glared at her, his eyes went wide instantly.
“No babe. You look… hot.” He said almost in a whisper.
Jane smirked and went to sit beside him while Chloe and Bella went to sit at either sides of Carl.
“So, who’s gonna entertain us?” Dylan asked.
“Yeah, that’s right. Give me a minute.” Carl stood up and excused himself.
He came back shortly, holding a bottle in his hand with four cups.
“Hmmn, what do we have in there?” Chloe asked, sitting up.
“You want to know what it is.” Carl smirked as he placed the bottle on the table.
“Seriously,” Dylan raised his brows and sat up immediately.
“The girls can’t take that. It’s f-cking alcoholic. You’re gonna kill us?” Dylan protested.
“Not like it’s the first time I’ll be taking something alcoholic.” Bella rolled her eyes and took a cup from Carl. Chloe also did the same.
Jane was about taking a cup when Dylan stopped her.
“What?” She raised a brow at him.
“I’m not letting you take that, okay?”
“What’s wrong with it?” Jane pouted.
“It’s 75 % alcoholic Jane, and you’ve never taken anything alcoholic. I can’t just let you drink that.”
“I am taking it.” Jane struggled to break free.
“no, you’re not.” Dylan argued.
“I am.” Jane looked into his eyes and Dylan could see how serious she was. “Not as if I’m gonna die anyway.” She yanked her hand off and took a cup.
“You’re going to regret it Carl.” Dylan shot him a cold glare.
“There’s nothing to regret ‘lan.” Carl winked at him and filled all the cups.
Without hesitation, Jane brought the cup close to her lips and gulped down the whole contents. She squeezed her face and shiver ran down her spine, she then turned to look at the others who had their eyes fixed on her.
“You just… gulped everything down?” Bella asked with a look of shock.
“Yeah, what’s wrong with that?” Jane asked as she wiped her mouth with the back of her palm. “I feel…light. The drink is strong and there’s a spark in my stomach.” Jane said.
“I told you not to take it.” Dylan said to her.
Carl filled another cup and stretched it to Jane.
“Drink up, girl.” Carl smiled and Dylan banged his hand o the table.
“Carl!”
“Oh! Sorry.” Carl used his other hand to drag his ear and was about withdrawing the cup when Jane grabbed it from him and in a twinkling; she drained the content down her throat.
“Jane!” Bella was the one to scream this time.
“Oh.” Chloe covered her mouth.
Dylan saw what Jane did and got angry.
“What the f-ck is wrong with you?” He yelled but Jane’s vision was already blurry and she could only hear distant voices that made it seem like the people next to her were now far away from her.
She could not think of anything as she slumped on the chair.
“See what you caused.” Dylan shot at Carl.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean …”
“Just shut it.” Dylan cut him off.
“I’m taking her to the room now, I mean my room. When you guys are done, find your way to your rooms and we leave in the morning.” Dylan clarified.
He carried Jane on his back, gave Carl one last deadly look before walking out of the private room.
“Did we just ruin her day?” Bella asked.
“Might as well be the best day of her life. You never know.” Chloe replied, unbothered.
