“What?” Thomas asked distractedly, giving him a side glance while he entered the road.
“Shutting me up using alternative ways.”
“It’s necessary to use a bit of ingenuity. With you, it’s not an easy life.”
Elias waited a second before he answered. “I thought that after what I told you, you wouldn’t want to have anything to do with me.”
Thomas used his blinker and turned.
“Yes, well, I thought about it. But I still think it’s worth giving it a try.”
The waiter who served them was the same as last time, and he looked at Thomas uncertainly. He smiled a little cheekily, and Thomas smiled back, sending a message for him to think about minding his own fucking business.
“So, what did you want to talk to me about?” Elias asked, putting the straw in his mouth.
Thomas sighed and passed a hand over his forehead.
“There is no delicate way to tell you, so I’ll get straight to the point.” He looked at Elias and visibly swallowed. “I want to find a way to proceed against your brother.”
