“I’m sorry, Mom. Those cakes are all delicious, but for some reason, I’m just not into them,” Nathan apologized.
They’d been to a couple of bakeries so far, but neither of those had truly meshed with what Jason and he were searching for. The worst part of the whole evening was that neither his fiancé nor he knew exactly what they were searching for.
“It’s alright, honey. Maybe this next bakery will be the right one. After all, third time is the charm.”
Linda and Jason trailed behind them as his mom and he entered the small bakery that was next on their list. The four of them were quickly served with slices of cakes. The first slice was chocolate-flavored while the second one was a mix of vanilla flavor with fresh cuts of strawberry. He was not impressed at all. Then, the bakery owner had offered him the next slice of cake: mango and almond with coconut frosting. He loved it and it was obvious that Jason was also into it.
“Mom, Nancy, what do you think?”
