I'm glad you won't miss me.

For a moment, Fortune stared at Lixing Ji. She admired his majestic aura and couldn't help but wonder. If this kind of guy existed in the modern time, how many girls would want to be with him or how would he go around his daily life without causing distractions? It was so hard to imagine it but, if he was in her world, he would probably be an idol due to his good looks and amazing temperament.

'What am I thinking about? I know now that I like him but, do I adore him the way those stupid concubines do?' She thought

'What is it that she wants to say? Has she finally realize that she can go home now? I don't know why but, I don't want her to leave. I like to stay by her side. She has a sharp tongue and I like that as well, it reminds me that there is still someone who can treat me like a normal person, who isn't afraid of me and can take the risk of threatening me. When I look into those scarlet color eyes, I feel like my heart keeps burning and I like the feeling. Staying with her maters a lot' Lixing Ji smiled subconsciously.

Fortune snapped out of her thoughts and looked at him. He had a charming smile plastered on his face.

"Hey, Lixing Ji?" She called and it shocked him. It was the first time she actually called his name. He stared at her surprised. "Hey, so I called your name, so what?" She snapped. "Listen to me and listen closely." She demanded

"You... What is it?" He asked

"Lixing Ji, as someone who didn't come from around here, I'm not supposed to develop any sort of feelings for you but I think I can't handle it. I don't know if it's the feeling of those normal persons but, I don't know what it means. I don't know what this feeling means at all. It's killing me and it keeps my mind occupied for as long as I know and it's all your fault." She yelled at him. If she had no self control, she would have hit him but she didn't. "I haven't liked any boy in my entire life and now I feel like it's beyond liking for you." She bit her lips forcefully "I love you but... but I can't afford to. I can't have you to myself!" She felt her eyes water but, what was the reason? Why did it hurt her so much to think that once she fell for him, he wouldn't remain hers. Surely, there are a lot of women around him and he can have anyone he wants, what was she thinking to actually confess to him.

Lixing Ji stared at her flabbergasted. Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that she would say such and on top of that, she looked like she was going to cry. Her confession spoke for both of them, what was he going to do about her now?

He reached out and touched her cheek gently. She quickly looked up and saw his surprised expression. She immediately cleaned her eyes to prevent the tears from falling.

"Just forget about it!" Fortune said avoiding his gaze "Look away and pretend that you didn't see me like this or I'll kill you!" She threatened and made to leave but was held back. She turned to see Lixing Ji holding unto her hand.

"You don't want me seeing you like this? What's the matter, do you think I will laugh at you and mock the feelings you have for me?" He asked and she gazed at him a bit confused. "I didn't expect those words from you and I was shocked for a moment. I didn't know how to react and I think, you're just so cute!" He chuckled and she blushed.

"What... What are you saying?" She asked with her head down.

"What am saying...?" He pulled her closer and held her chin up. "Isn't it obvious?" Before Fortune could react, he leaned in and kissed her. Fortunes mind was in a blur and didn't know what was going on, she couldn't imagine being kissed by this guy.

Lixing Ji finally let go and saw her completely red face. She was so embarrassed by the kiss but soon after that embarrassment turned into anger.

She reached out for his chest and tugged on it wildly.

"How dare you!" She exclaimed. It shocked Lixing Ji, he was completely confused about her action. "You took away my first kiss without my permission, why would you do that?" She demanded and then he understood why she was worked up. But he didn't expect her to be the kind of girl that would care so much about that.

"I'm sorry for that!"

"Sorry? Will your sorry restore the kiss? Give me back my first kiss!" She demanded furiously

"Then... what can I do?"

"You can't do anything about it and I can't at all. Wait, I know! I'll get it back myself!" With that, she drew him closer and landed a surprise kiss on him. It was a surprise but Lixing Ji didn't slack off. He immediately kissed back. The first kiss wasn't as intense as this and this one was quite satisfying.

Fortune finally let go, she didn't know what she had done. It was clearly wrong but it was very satisfying. Lixing Ji looked at her and discovered her to be a blushing mess.

"Are you okay?" He asked and she shook her head. He grinned "I'm glad you're not okay, it gives me enough reason to hug you!" he said and before she could take in any of what he said, he pulled her in for a hug.

The hug was so comforting and his embrace was warm. She didn't want to let go.

'Silly little girl, now that you are in my grasp, don't ever think of leaving me' Lixing Ji thought.

'I'm sorry! I'll need to go back to my grandpa soon. He must be worried and I can't let him worry. As much as I want to stay with you, I want to see grandpa' Fortune thought as she warmed into his embrace. "Hey, "she called rudely "I'm going back soon, what will you do?"

Lixing Ji was silent for a while, he didn't want to think about that at all.

"Let's not think about that now. Nothing can go wrong now." He kissed her forehead. 'I hope so'

Meng Meng had started thinking of a way to torture Fortune, but it was almost impossible as long as Lixing Ji was in the palace.

Fortune and Lixing Ji stayed with each other for a while. They observered the scenery in solitude. Just then, a eunuch came over, bowed and whispered a few things to Lixing Ji.

"Tell them that I'll be there." Lixing Ji said. The eunuch vowed and left.

"What's the matter?" Fortune asked with a curious expression

"I'll have to leave for a while and I'm not sure when I'll be back. He said and she nodded.

"When will you leave?" She asked.

"Tomorrow!"

"Tomorrow? Then can I go with you?" She asked childishly and he flicked her forehead.

"Dummy! Don't you know that these are official businesses? What do you think you can do if you go with me?" He laughed

"Stop being stingy with the fun. I want to go as well!" She insisted but he Shaker his head.

"If it was fun as you presume then, I would have taken you along but, its actually dangerous and I don't want to see you getting hurt." He said and she scoffed.

"Fine!" She agreed reluctantly.

"I'll be back soon so," he kissed her forehead "...don't miss me too much."

"Who misses you? I won't miss you one bit, hmph!" She folded her arms and looked away childishly.

Lixing Ji laughed.

"I'm glad you won't miss me!" He said with a smile. 'Then I don't need to worry as well' he watched her as she leaned on him. She was so silly but sometimes acted maturely, she had two different sides that's for sure.

After he left the next day, she felt lonely. Although she had Sage, Rei and Lynne to talk to but it just wasn't the same. She wanted to stay alone for a moment but, just as she was about to send them out, Meng Meng and her personal maid walked in. They followed the procedure and bowed at her arrival.

Fortune rolled her eyeballs as her head was down. She really didn't want to deal with this kind of girl and she had to be careful too.

"Why are you so close to the emperor?" Meng Meng asked.

Fortune didn't expect that from her at all.

"Pardon me?" Fortune looked at her surprised.

"Why are you so close to the emperor?" She repeated

"I don't know, maybe because I'm good at pleasing him!" She answered nonchalantly, her eyes filled with pride.

Meng Meng was infuriated, she felt like strangling Fortune to death and removing that smug from her face.

"Please, if you may excuse me!" Fortune brushed pass her and just then, Meng Meng fell. Her maid quickly helped her up but fell as well.

Fortune just watched their little act and wanted to laugh. The show was indeed funny.

"How dare you push me and my maid?" Meng Meng ratted.

"What?!"Fortune exclaimed.
