"What? But the rice hasn't ripened yet!" One of the villagers couldn't help but say. The rice in the paddies was yet to ripen as it was sown not too long ago. How could they harvest the rice when it was yet to ripen?

"If you don't want to harvest then you can leave the rice that belongs to your family but you will have to harvest the rice that you are growing for the Yu family," said Elder Sister Gu with a calm voice causing the villager who had just spoken up to turn quiet. 

She looked at Elder Sister Gu in disbelief as she couldn't believe that Elder Sister Gu abandoned her so easily! Couldn't she have persuaded her a bit more to harvest the rice?
