Martin frowned when he saw that many passerby avoid them, seemingly rushing away from the scene as if they would catch a deadly disease if they stayed close to the old woman.
A passerby reluctantly stopped and told Martin. "Sir, you better tell your friend to stay away from that crazy blind witch! She's known for reading people's ill fate and even cursing them! If you don't want a big misfortune to befall you and your friend in the future, just leave her and don't get close to her!"
Before Martin could ask further, however, the man had left with hurried steps and utter disgust in his gaze.
"Don't worry about me, young man...." The old woman muttered in her hoarse voice, her clouded eyes lifted to look at Ryley for a few moments, squinting as if trying to see something.
"Old lady, aren't you blind?" Martin asked in confusion when he saw the old woman stare at Ryley as if a person with a pair of normally functioning eyes.
